I want to buy this on the ps4, but i will be buying a ps5 around november 2021. how will i be able to get the free ps5 upgrade for this game?

You need to insert the disc into your ps5, you won't get a free version if you buy digital only ps5. You don't actually get a free version, you get to insert your ps4 disc into the ps5 and it will just play an upgraded version.
