Great as a tomato substitute in cooking
I LOVE Glorybee Tamarind paste! It's organic and pure -- no other ingredients or additives. I use this product as a substitute for tomato in many recipes. I have to avoid nightshades, so sadly, I can't have tomatoes. This tamarind paste gives my recipes the tartness and zing that tomatoes or tomato paste ordinarily would. Imagine ground taco meat without tomato -- bland. Tamarind paste is a perfect replacement. Just a teaspoon or two makes my ground taco meat taste right. I've also used it in asian recipes (and even meatloaf to replace ketchup). Great product!

Buy this product in your grocery store, not on Amazon
This is a delicious product. I have a recipe for Indian Tamarind chicken that is easy to make with the Glory Bee Tamarind. I twice ordered from Amazon. Both times the clear seals on the jars that protect the edge of the cap was loose and the contents were leaking. I called Amazon, and rep said the product was fine and to go ahead and eat it. I didn't feel secure doing that. I emailed Glory Bee and asked if they would reimburse or send properly sealed product. The person who replied said that the company did not do that for people who bought on Amazon. When I went to my grocery store, I found a properly closed jar with the seal intact, so I think that's the best way to buy it.

Great tasting tamarind
This is amazing and tart. Hard to believe it's low carb and organic. Great find on Amazon.

Good Tamarind taste
This tamarind paste is very good & comes close to the tamarind paste I buy at Sarah’s Tent in Aventura, Florida. Another attraction is that it’s kosher ou. The only problem I had was it comes in a glass jar & arrived broken, but that’s not the manufacturer’s fault.

Good when it's good
I've ordered this twice. The first time I was very impressed with the product. The second time I ordered, it arrived leaking, with a loose lid. I see that other reviewers have noted this, and clearly it's a simple quality problem. Maybe they have solved that, but I'm not taking a chance again. If I can find it locally I will buy it, (after checking the lid, of course).
