Your Dr. Can arrange this by your urine sample. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very helpful if you suspect a UTI *by C***4 on 2 July 2022* I used a strip on Tuesday just gone, and very quickly took a trip to see my GP. They didn't suspect a UTI, but because I had a seizure last week, where I had to be taken to A&E, mainly because the seizure lasted more than 5 minutes. The nurse practitioner who saw me asked questions about a possible UTI. Didn't have any symptoms, still don't, but GP got me yo take a urine sample to send off for testing. Makes sense, I apparently had a UTI last year when I went for my first lot of an immunosuppressant infusion, but again I didn't have any symptoms. I'm happy to have these on hand, just in case. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by J***S on 20 April 2022* I think all ambulances who carry these. They could save so much time using these, specially on older women, if they suspect a urine infection etc. That way then, they would not need to have to block up hospital beds if they think that they just need to call their GPs for antibiotics. Saves a lot of time waiting in A&E for a lot of elderly people, and a lot of wasted time, for doctors etc, just taking urine samples to say it’s a infection, here’s some antibiotics, go home ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for screening at home. *by R***K on 16 March 2021* I think the chemistry is well proven so it is accurate enough* to be a must-have piece of medical equipment especially in view of the fact that our kidneys show no outward signs of failing until two-thirds of their function has already gone.It has a nitrite tab which only changes colour when there is urinary infection. Mostly these are not bad enough to get noticed in time to treat.Glucose should always be checked with Ketones (you become ketotic if you cannot get your calories from normal food breakdown...diabetes or being off food for more than 2 days.Protein and blood will alert you to infections and inflammations at which point you see your GP.*The density of the urine is measured as Specific Gravity (S.G) but the chemical reaction that causes the colour change on dipsticks can be influenced by urine that has protein in it or it is not within the healthy acid-base range for HUMANS (pH 6-8). So, if the patient usually uses more than two legs to walk then ignore the SG reading.
