Let me just add, I drive all my dim lights on, even in the daytime in order to be seen better in today's traffic, and by driving with dim lights on anytime the motor is running, the life span of the lamps for me is about 12 months. If your Jeep uses an H7 lamp (check your manual or pull a lamp and check the lamp number) then it will replace it, if your Jeep Patriot does not use an H7 lamp, it will not work.
