The reason I got the TJ model was because I have a body lift. Many of these style racks mount to the windshield frame AND the vehicle frame or bumper in the rear. If you have a body lift, It won't work out of the box and will need modifying. The JK model does appear to affix in the rear to the bumber. (The TJ model was on the body at both ends so no mods needed) Could be as easy as a home made spacer in the rear on a JK. Unfortunately my gas mileage did a nose dive (3 miles to the gallon less) and my Jeep is now so noisy I have to wear earplugs when I drive. A long trip with this thing is entirely out of the question. Taking it off and on is a major production best attempted with help.
