These ballet flats are a good alternative for those times. The arch support is minimal, and the wide width is genuinely wide. The toe box is roomy. The oxblood color looks less like cordovan and more like a muted plum, which pleased me. Very cute, very comfortable. Update: I now have the turquoise and light gray versions of this shoe as well. They are all super comfortable and seem to be holding up well. I have another pair of nearly identical shoes in a name brand--they cost twice what these cost, and they are identical.

Fit a little small at my big toe but otherwise fit well. Heel rubbed slightly first 5 hour wear but no blister.
