## Description

Product Description Featuring innovative new technology from Roland, the KT-10 provides authentic feel and playability in a low-noise kick trigger pedal for V-Drums sound modules and other electronic percussion instruments. The all-in-one design offers fast, fluid response and a unique reverse-action trigger mechanism that makes the pedal not only compact in size, but also far quieter in operation than a kick pad played with a standard pedal and beater. With its small footprint, the KT-10 is ideal for use alongside an acoustic kick pedal in a hybrid drum set, and it also works great for expanding the capabilities of an SPD-series percussion pad or the HandSonic HPD-20. Of course, the KT-10’s pro feel, noise-reducing features, and portable convenience make it perfect for use with any V-Drums kit as well. Review: Works Perfect with the Roland SPD-SX Pro - This pedal is fantastic!! The response time is very accurate, zero lag. The quality is top of the line great. It’s paired with my Roland SPD-SX Pro and it works flawless. I use it professionally for paid gigs. I would buy another one.
Review: Surprisingly heavy-duty, solid pedal. About as loud as two people having a conversation - I was surprised when I unboxed the pedal. The pedal is about twice as heavy as I expected. Like many, I initially felt it was overpriced, but I now understand why. The majority of the pedal is made out of heavy, solid metal. This thing feels twice as durable as my real kick pedals, which have lasted +15 years without issue. The main reason I got this pedal, like most people, is for the quiet playing. It is indeed quiet. I thankfully have had no issue with squeaking as I saw one reviewer complained. I would feel comfortable using this pedal in an upper story apartment complex without worrying about neighbors' complaints (I've been there and experienced that). I unscientifically measured the sound level with a dB meter on my phone as I played just the pedal alone. I held my phone's microphone by my head to simulate what the drummer hears. The pedal registered between 53-68 dBA, which would make it quieter than a shower or dishwasher, and about as loud as two people having a conversation in a living room - perfectly reasonable for an apartment. When I received the pedal, I immediately adjusted the spring and beater to their maximum "heavy" setting, and I'm quite pleased with the feel (those max adjustments feel the closest to a real pedal to me). It has a similar feel to real pedals, the only subjective difference to me being the actual impact. The impact feels about 25% more responsive than a real beater. I think that makes sense, since a beater hitting a real drum head experiences a bit of 'give' as the drum head bows inward toward the drum's interior against the force of the beater. Obviously this doesn't happen with this pedal. But the other aspects of the action feel the same as a real pedal. I'm very pleased, and when budget allows, I'll be getting a second pedal to daisy-chain and complete my setup with double-pedal functionality.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this kt-10 work with my alesis strike multipad?**
A: I have used it with the Alesis Sample Pad with absolutely no issues. I am sure it would work with the Strike Pad as well

**Q: Will the kt-9 work as the kick pedal for the Yamaha DD-75 portable digital drum set?**
A: Nope! I had my doubts but bought it anyway, and it does NOT work with the DD-75.

**Q: Why are there two trs-connectors?**
A: One connection is the output to the percussion module you are using. The other is a mix-in -- that would be added to the kick drum signal that is then sent through the output. I only use the output connection. The motion and weighting, BTW, is really good. I use it in an apartment, and I get no complaints from the neighbors.

**Q: can i use a KD-10 kick pad plugged into this for double bass?**
A: You should, it's got a quarter inch jack to plug another pedal into.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly heavy-duty, solid pedal. About as loud as two people having a conversation

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very impressing! Feels like a regular pedal.
*by A***N on May 6, 2020*

I was skeptical, so I put my DW kick pedal right next to this so I could compare the feel of it, and honestly I felt no difference other than making less than a half of the noise compared to the regular pedal on my Roland V-drums. This thing is big, very heavy and very well constructed. It doesn't have a lot of calibration points, but luckily for me it's default config matched perfectly my DW5000. I recommend getting a KickBlock to use on this, the surface on the bottom side doesn't hold much if your are using a rug, with the KickBlock it will stay in place.
