Great all purpose asian style cleaver...very nice quality for the money. Not for breaking bones, etc, but really good for everything else. Cutting vegetables, meat, etc...all great and does not stick. I have a Wusthof asian chef's knife that was twice as expensive and very nice, but it sticks when chopping vegetables, especially cabbage, while this does not. Great balance and weight. I would suggest coating the handle with some Boos Block board cream after each use... while beautiful out of the box, the sycamore handle seems very absorbent. The beeswax and mineral oil combo seems to retain the luster and seal it from liquids.
