I was skeptical until I viewed some Y-Tube videos about all the of the Amazon echo products and settled on the large Echo 4th generation. I could not be most pleased with my purchase. This 4th generation product is beyond fun to play with. Great sound. Awesome sound. Fills the room and will play any type you want and I have linked it with my music stations and it works as advertised. I purchased the battery base and I am so happy I did. First it give the Echo 4th generation a great stability and it is not going to roll is inadvertently touched or bumped. The base is solid. Second we wanted to be able to move it to the outside for music while we are around the pool. The battery gives about 5 hours of use before I needed to plug it in. Don't buy the Echo 4th generation large unit without the base you will be most pleased with your purchase. I now will be purchasing two more units for the rest of the house for full house sound and for an intercom. The white is pleasant looking.

Works Great!

We have many Echo devices in the house — Echo, Dot, Echo Link, Flex, etc. They are all great in their own way. The biggest issue we have had is moving them around. You unplug one and move to a different room then plug it back in. It now has to search for WiFi and get itself set back up before you can start it up again. And outdoors? Now I have to find an extension cord. Enter the battery base! This thing just screws to the bottom of an Echo (4th gen) and now it’s portable! When your Echo is plugged in, power will pass through to the battery base and keep it fully charged. When you unplug the Echo, it just keeps playing! Move it from room to room… take it out on the porch… no problem! It will run for hours on the internal battery. And when it needs a charge, just plug the standard Echo power cord back into the Echo and it will charge back up — and yes, your Echo will work normally while the battery charges. Of course, there is always room for improvement. There are two main issues that keep me from giving it the full five stars: 1) The four blue LEDs on the front that indicate battery level are WAY too bright. I have mine covered with black electrical tape so that I don’t stay up late making shadow puppets on the wall. 2) I would love to have some sort of handle or hand hold. When picking it up, the easiest way is to grab the Echo itself. Of course, the Echo is covered in fabric, which is somewhat delicate and gets dirty easily. I am often using it outside when doing yard work, grilling, or working on a car. I hate to grab the Echo with dirty hands. The battery base itself just doesn’t provide and hand hold at all. The good far outweighs the bad. I would buy this battery base again and would recommend it to a friend.

I initially thought this was pretty cool to have, because i never liked the fact that the Echo had to stay plugged in a certain spot to work. None the less his is my 2nd echo. lol I do like it. But I thought with this newer looking echo let me try this base. So there were instructions but none that tell you to unscrew this little cap off the echo where the echo needs to sit. Point is Im pretty tech savvy but i had to call the amazon customer service rep and she couldn't figure it out either. SMH In the end of all that I realized something on the echo had to be removed for the base to sit. Ok the other issue is I thought once charged the base would have a long charge. NOPE it doesn't, Not good. And most days i do not even use my echo b/c im at work. By the next day and with little use the batter is dead and therefore you need to plug it up and charge it again. Might as well just keep the echo itself plugged in all day. smh This base is not the optimal base as it doesn’t keep charge for very long using the echo or not.

It to me a min to figure install. and other things but that is just me. . I got this to take Alexa onto my patio and back yard. This only fits the round ECO. Which works for me. Yes I have older versions too. The signal was good. but that again depends on your WIFI. the sound quality was good too. Nothing on quality change because of batter use. I have not had my batter run out unexpectedly. Only time will say how well the batter does. But the other best part is my round ECO runs more warm more than the other models. it affected finish on a piece of furniture and I had to move it fix the spot and keep a coaster under it. (affecting the finish could be the quality of finish, other items were fine with it) This battery is a much nicer solution looks & stability with portability. an all around win

I’m really impressed with my Alexa and the portable stand! The stand makes it so easy to move Alexa around the house, and I no longer have to worry about plugging it into a socket every time I want to use it in a different room. The battery lasts for a long time, allowing me to enjoy all of Alexa's features without interruptions. It’s a super practical setup that adds even more convenience to my daily routine. I highly recommend this combination for anyone who wants more flexibility and portability with their Alexa device!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: First off, I never owned Alexa product before until I received an echo for Christmas. I absolutely feel in love with it. It keeps me organized but most importantly I am a Musico Phile, so quality sound matters to me. My only drawback with I could take my music with me to play on it out in the shop. Until I found out a battery base can be purchased. What a gamer changer. It gets a easy 4 hours of play time on a charge.

Base arrivée rapidement , l'installation en 2mn mais pour le moment je dois la laisser en charge comme vous le constater sur la photo la batterie est faible , témoin de charge très utile de plus fonctionnel durant le temps de charge . Tres hâte de pouvoir la déplacer.

Buena compra. Me voy con Alexa donde quiera y dura bastante la batería. Contento con la compra y aparte le queda muy bien.

I love listening to music outdoors while doing things. Sound is awesome as if it was plugged in. Battery life is good. Happy that there is a mounting screw to keep it plugged together. No issues so far.

Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, der Echo steht stabil und lässt sich einfach einsetzen. Besonders praktisch ist, dass der Echo dadurch kabellos genutzt und flexibel im Raum platziert werden kann. Die Akkulaufzeit ist gut und reicht problemlos für mehrere Stunden Nutzung. Auch das Aufladen funktioniert unkompliziert. E' il prodotto che cercavo, permette di rendere portatile Amazon Echo 4^ generazione. Lo puoi portare in giardino, su un terrazzo, a bordo piscina senza necessariamente avere a disposizione una presa di corrente. La base batteria per si integra perfettamente con Amazon Echo 4th generazione. La plastica è la stessa di Echo e il prodotto si avvita in modo molto solido sotto la base. La ricarica della batteria avviene tramite il normale spinotto di alimentazione presente su Echo e quindi non sono necessari cavi aggiuntivi. L'alimentazione di Echo tramite la batteria avviene per mezzo di un apposito connettore celate dietro un piccolo sportellino sotto la base di echo che si accoppia con il corrispondente connettore sulla batteria. Non sono presenti quindi cavi aggiuntivi, spinotti volanti, ecc. e l'integrazione è quindi totale. Per quanto riguarda l'estetica non esprimo giudizi in quanto a mio avviso sarebbero molto personali. La funzionalità e l'integrazione con Echo è ottima. Le performance sonore e le capacità di riconoscimento vocale sono le stesse di quando è collegato alla rete elettrica. La durata della batteria è molto variabile in funzione del volume di ascolto. A volume sostenuto dura circa 4 ore e mi ritengo molto soddisfatto.
