I have owned every version of this movie, from a recorded copy off tv to a vhs, then the Canadian DVD with the weird sound track and the American re-release to FINALLY the blu ray! I grew up watching the underdog misfits of Camp North Star and learned many things from it. Meatballs was the movie I could watch over and over again and as I grew up I began to understand the jokes and laugh again and again. It is very under rated and most everyone I know remembers the sequel with the dumb alien and to be honest, I wish the sequels had stayed true to the original, I think it would have been a great franchise of those days like Police Academy was. Sadly, very few people know it exists and though it isn't one of Bill Murray's most memorable movies, he still is a charming funny guy that you wish was your older brother! I hate to gush like this but it is a movie I have always loved but I have to. It just doesn't matter if you like this movie or not, I hold it as my number 1 movie of all time.
