My Blackhawk 44 mag has a 6 1/2 barrel. About in inch or so sticks out of the holster. Also tried my Blackhawk 357 mag with 5 1/2 barrel. The barrel sticks out of the holster a bit. If you can find a Blackhawk to compare your gun with, you may have a better idea if it will fit. **Q: Does the ruger super blackhawk hunter 44 mag with 7 1/2" barrel hangout at the bottom ?** A: Yes it does... I have the new black hawk 45 LC with 7.5 in barrel and it hangs out about 2 inches... **Q: Can you make or acquire a holster that will hold a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a seven and a half inch barrel?** A: Yes it hold my 45 caliber **Q: To measure the barl from end to where on the frame ?** A: Revolver barrels are measured from the muzzle to the forcing cone. I have a 5.5 inch Uberti Cattleman. In this holster the muzzle comes about even with the bottom of the holster. The muzzle of my 6 inch Smith & Wesson 629 also comes about even. The muzzle of 6.5 inch Blackhawk sticks out about 3/4 inch and the 7.5 inch Blackhawk sticks out about an inch more than that. Maybe this will give you some idea of how your particular revolver will fit.
