Creativity for Kids Hat Not Hate Quick Knit Loom - Create 2 DIY Knitted Beanie Hats with Lion Brand Yarn

I made two of these adult-sized beanies within a day, with plenty of yarn leftover for other projects. I made one for my dad, and it was generous with length, and with a brim and pom-poms, that took extra yarn. I made the other for myself, without a brim and pom-poms. The #HatNotHate tag was a nice addition to this. In my opinion, they gave plenty of yarn - I was initially worried that I would run out of yarn as this is seemingly a craft kit designated for younger audiences, but I think it's for adults too! :) I knit 2 beanies (see above for styles) and with about 1/2 a skein of yarn left. Not sure what to craft with the leftover yarn, but it's cool! Oh, and in case it benefits you, it comes with instructions that have step-by-step colored photos and all the supplies you need to create your beanies. I love the concept of this movement, and enjoyed crafting these beanies. Cool craft!!!!

So far I made one hat on the loom. Adult with a 22” diameter head—fits perfectly ! The Lion brand chunky yarn is amazing. The hat knits up well and the yarn is soft! Since it’s chunky yarn you knit with one strand. the finished hat was just over 8.5” high—a nice snug weave which will be warm. This is great kit—comes with everything you need to complete 2 hats, instructions included. Beginning knitters should be able to follow the instructions fairly easy. Great gift for anyone—ideal for the tween-teen age group. Very pleased with the kit—great buy ! Already ordered a second kit!!

This Creativity for Kids Hat Not Hate Quick Knit Loom Kit is a nice project but the resulting hat is too small for an adult head. You get a nice quality loom, a hook, two yarn threaders, a yarn needle, 2 leather hat tags, an instruction sheet, and 4 balls of yarn, which is enough to make 2 hats. Of course, you can make as many hats as you want on the loom if you purchase more yarn. This loom makes a tube of knit fabric. The instructions are pretty easy to follow for maybe a 10 or 11 year old without help but younger children can use this loom, too, if someone gets them started and shows them what to do and perhaps helps them finish off the top of the hat. The instructions show how to make a skull cap with a pom pom on top but you could easily make it longer so it has a fold up cuff or leave the pom pom off. The yarn is a very soft, chenille-type that is variegated in shades of blue. The tube size is limited by the size of the loom so you should know this makes a cap that is made to fit a child's head. It would not fit any of the adults or teen in my house so keep that in mind. However, for a kid or a tween, it's a great project and the resulting cap is nice enough that they will be proud to wear it.

My child has spent hours creating a hat with this kit, with little frustration. The loom works great and the yarn is high quality. The step by step instructions also are easy to follow. We will definitely be purchasing more yarn to continue to use beyond this kit.

Great! This is a wonderful way to support the anti bullying movement! It makes a hat about the size of a 7yr old not an adult. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that the yarn is absolutely gorgeous but was made specifically for the kit so it's not available to purchase separately. I've been loom knitting for years & I love this idea! Has everything you need to get started! Makes 2 hats & includes 2 faux leather tags! Love it! Great for kids too!

My set was missing the sewing needle and some of the instructions were just blank or printed halfway.

This kit comes with really nice yarn, it is soft and very durable. There is definitely eniugh to make two hats and a couple mistakes. The ring (sorry im a beginner, it has a name that I forgot) but it is very sturdy and the instructions were easy to follow. Would buy again for myself or as a gift.

Six year old grandson loved making a hat for himself....said it was his favorite Xmas present and he started working on it immediately. It gave him so much joy to complete the project and wear the hat. Had just the right amount of challenge without being toooo hard to do. He loves making things and crafts. It was nice for me to find something that wasn't too girly since the hat is blue instead of the usual pinks and purples associated with crafts.
