A: My set didn't come with any golf balls, so I couldn't test it out. Based on how thin the backing material is, the grass would need to be fairly flat and smooth.

This is very fun and easy to set up. The only problem for me was getting the creases out when you unfold it from storing it. Takes a while and I had put something heavy on them for a while.
