yes to shopping at to get the job done they come with two extra large ones and I've used those for like trying to take the seam out of jeans

Can these be used with criss stitch?

I believe these rippers would work on any stitch, You might have to rip twice on a cross stitch I used these to rip denim and an old tarp and they worked great

I would have to know the exact details of this engagement, in an airplane restroom, before I could 100% guarantee success or not. One too many in-flight "beverages" could lead to a failed mission.

Super sharp!

The little scissors are super sharp! The oil keeps them from rusting, so easy to wipe off. Love the two sizes for the seam rippers and love that there are 4 and come with a pouch. Would definitely purchase again.
