This item is very realistic looking, light weight, and when you spray it down with good quality blood, it looks amazing. **Q: would this exact machete be good for a jason costume?** A: I don't know about Jason, but it is a proper-looking machete and it served very well in a production of Little Shop of Horrors. **Q: Will it scare the living nightmare out of kids?** A: If that is what you are going for I assume kids who dont know its a fake would be. **Q: is it very durable/able to hit things with** A: It is pretty durable...you probably would be able get a couple good hits in, but it does have the tendency of bending toward the handle.
