His policies, his vigor, his outlook on life. This is a man that set up the National Park Service and established the National Park system. Conservationist (though it had a slightly different meaning then). A man that was self taught on many subjects. Wrote peer reviewed books on scientific topics and regarded by experts on that topic. Supported the military and international relations. Astute thinker and very active physically. It's an easy read that can be done in one day and gives some great surface facts about Teddy Roosevelt and his contribution to the conservation of our parks in America.
