Buy the Nitrofit! - Fantastic machine! I’ve suffered with back pain for years. I never knew until recently that this type of stretching equipment existed. It is a God send for anyone with back pain and poor flexibility. I have read all the reviews and watched some side by side videos on YouTube. This unit, the Nitrofit, is the best option in my opinion. I cannot see the more expensive units doing the job any better. In one online video there was a three way comparison, it showed that the Nitrofit is more stable than the most expensive unit of the three and had a better handle bar mount design than the other model. The only negative to this unit in any review I had read was the lack of extra padding on the front edge of the knee pad. The area where your knees rest has plenty of padding but when you are doing some of the leg stretches and the bottom of your leg is on the leading edge of the knee pad it can get a little painful. In my case I couldn’t tell if the pain was the lack of extra padding or if it was my poor flexibility…probably both! But I have solved the only negative to this machine and it is an easy and inexpensive fix. I added a replacement foam roller for another piece of equipment. All I did was slice it down the center on one side and it fit right over the edge of the knee pad. I ordered a 16 inch and it was the perfect length. I did notice that the foam roller would stay on during other exercises but it moved slightly. I trimmed a little more foam off the inside and used 2-inch-wide X 15 inch of Velcro to hold the roller in place. Since the Velcro is on the bottom of the knee pad you can take the roller off if you find it a distraction doing other exercises but I find it feels fine keeping it in place for all the exercises. It also gives you a little extra ‘lift’ and comfort when doing the Quadriceps. The edge doesn't look very padded.** A: The padding was increased in density back in 2017 and is thicker than what you see in the images. We added about 1/4 inch of foam to the top and extended another 1/4 inch of foam over the front area where you would rest your foot during the quad stretches. The knee pad itself looks identical to the one in the image just thicker with more padding. **Q: What is the weight limit** A: 250 lbs without support bracket. 300lbs with support bracket. All machines come with the bracket. Its your choice to install it or not based on user weight. **Q: How hard is it to assemble?** A: Update: An amazon customer created a how to assemble video on you tube. Just google Nitrofit Limber Pro Assembly Video and you will find it. We explain it very well with diagrams in the manual but if you feel like you need to see someone do it and follow along then his video will help. **Q: Does one have to "warm up" before using this stretch machine? I used a Precor machine at the gym and wanted the same experience without spending $1,000. This unit does the job. Plus has a calf stretching platform that the precor does not have. The only reason for not giving a 5 star review is during assembly i had an issue with alignment on one of the components. The stabilizer nut was welded on not perpendicular to threaded rod making it very difficult to assemble. I was able to make it work by drilling the clearance hole larger. I would recommend buying this machine.
