I love this pad! It fits well and is easy to put on my mattress. I have a 10" pillow top mattress that has a deeply quilted surface. I can feel those bumps while laying on it unless I have a thick mattress pad on top of it. I already have a mattress cover for dustmites on my bed, so this one was needed to smooth out the surface and make it more comfortable. It does that in spades. It doesn't seem all that thick, but the loft is enough to correct that issue. It is very well made and a bargain at this price. It feels very soft and comfortable under my sheets and I never want to get out of bed! I'm sure it would fit on a thicker mattress or even a thinner one. It is just like a fitted sheet, so you might end up with more or less fabric under the mattress, but it will fit without leaving excess fabric at the sides. It is 100% polyester, fits in a top loading washing machine without overstuffing it, it will not shrink. I washed and dried it before I put it on the bed and it came out looking just like when it went in. I have not noticed any difference in sleeping temperature since I put it on.

12 years after purchasing and we are purchasing a 2nd one. 1st one is in great shape except where my husband drools when he falls asleep with hard candy in his mouth. Rest of mattress pad looks great still. It's very comfortable and stays in place. The top is thick and comfortable, sides thin, stretchy and have held up well over the years. Was glad to see we could purchase the same one again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this mattress pad. By way of background, I wanted a regular mattress pad. Not a waterproof pad. Not a barrier pad. Just a regular mattress pad. What I discovered is that finding a decent, regular mattress pad is not as easy as it should be. And the ones I found (prior to this one) seemed way too expensive for what they were. Then I saw this one on Amazon, and for a reasonable price ($29.99 for the King), and decided to take a chance. I am very glad that I did. This is a great mattress pad. We love it. It has nice deep pockets, so there is no trouble affixing it to the bed. The surface is soft and plush, and doesn't feel synthetic. It feels cottony soft. I'm not sure that I would say that it is a "down alternative," but I don't really care because it feels great. Before putting it on the bed for the first time, we washed and dried it (in machines) and it came out exactly as it had gone in. No change. (I mention this because, from what I've read, some mattress pads don't hold up well in the heat of a dryer.) Overall, I would recommend this mattress pad highly. Even at a higher price, it would still be a good deal, so at $29.99 it feels almost like a steal (compared to everything else that's out there).

I bought this mattress pad after reading plenty of Amazon reviews on different mattress pads and mattress pillow tops. All I wanted was a no-nonsense, high-quality, down-soft, easily-washable, sturdy but not super-thick mattress pad for the protection of two new mattresses (a Queen and a Full size). This product is spot on. It arrived as promised from the shipper. As other reviewers mentioned, it has a heavy plastic smell on it from the manufacturer packaging. So I immediately threw these babies into my front-loader washer and dryer and they came out just as perfectly as they went it. They also fit the two mattress sizes as promised with snugness and without bunching. They made my already soft mattresses feel just a bit more softer and the stitching of the pads did not create any discomfort while laying on it, unlike other mattress pads I had read about. I've washed them both twice already, and they are still just as perfect as I received them. Overall, the price is reasonable and actually a steal for what you get. I highly recommend this product.

Good product, soft and fitted. My son has the shortest 6" mattress with a 2" gel cover. I was trying to find something that would fit tightly enough around his short mattress to keep it tight. It had room for a much taller mattress but also kept ours together as tight as I would expect. Especially for the money spent, this pad is an excellent choice. I wanted to make sure he didn't feel any springs while sleeping, at the same time I didn't want to spend tons of money either.The gel pad we already had did a good job, but if you pushed down on it you could still feel a spring if you tried to. I tried to feel a spring after putting this pad on by pushing down on it and I couldn't anymore. It's soft, plush, and made well and I got exactly what I was looking for from it. Thank you for providing a good product for my budget.

Just to be clear, this is not a mattress "topper". If you are expecting an item that is 1" thick, like a foam topper, then you need to search for "topper". This is just what I wanted, which is something to protect my mattress from getting dirty, while providing a little extra pillowy feel. It does just that. If you are as old as I am and remember when mattresses had hard buttons on them, to hold the stuffing in place, the function of the mattress pad was to hide the feeling of the buttons. This would absolutely do that. What it does not do is to add to the overall depth of the mattress. I've paid more in the past and gotten some really overstuffed mattress pads which literally do add depth to the mattress, but this one was just what I wanted at a very good price!

We have gone five years struggling with a mattress pad that doesn't fit our 12" thick mattress. We are thrilled that this pad fits with no problem at all and that the material that wraps onto the sides of the mattress seems like great quality! I would say you could fit this onto a mattress up to 18" thick. This pad has more cushion than the one that we bought at a local department store, but it doesn't have a ton of cushion if that is what you are looking for. We just wanted an extra barrier between the sheets and the mattress, this one fits the bill for the right price. We worried about how it would wash and dry, but had no problem with it by following the directions...washed on gentle in cold water and tumble dried it on low.

Edit 2/2016: After a few washes, the padding disappeared from everywhere but the very edges, and now it's basically just a fitted sheet. This actually happened just a few washes after I've bought it. It's also started to rip at the seams where it fits around the bed after about 2 years. I've reduced the score to 3 stars as a result of the padding loss. Old initial review is below. I needed a new mattress pad, as my old one was falling apart. I also didn't want to spend 50 dollars on a pad. My old one was basically just a sheet, and this one has cushioning. Oh man, if you never had a cushioned mattress pad you don't know what you're missing. It's like the bed is hugging you, a fantastic feeling. When it arrived it smelled strongly of factory. I washed it once, which took away about 50% of the smell, then again, which took away an additional 20% of the smell. Drying it seemed to help the most, and it got rid of most the remaining smell. By about the 3rd time it needed washing, the smell was gone. It basically just needs aired out after opening it from the packaging, and using it in the course of bed laundry loads will take care of the smell. It stretches easily to fit my bed, so it's not a pain to put on. The only issue I have with it is that after a few washings/uses it lost much of its cushioning where I sleep. Perhaps the filling was displaced. There are more puffy mattress pads on the market, so if you like puff perhaps get one of those to try, so when the puff wears you still have some left. Overall it works, wasn't super expensive, and adds comfort.

You can tell that this mattress pad is very good quality. I bought a cheaper mattress pad a while ago and it had tears all over it within a month. With this one, it is still holding up and looks brand new several months later after a few washes as well! It really does make a difference for the comfort of your bed - it gives your bed a nice 'fluffy' feeling without being too bulky. I really like this mattress pad! I highly recommend.

It was what was expected, and the price was reasonable. Was comfortable, and would also be great used in a tent, or back of a van.

I am so happy with this mattress cover. You can tell that the quality is very good, the seams are strong and will last, and the overall stitching is tight. It fit my mattress perfectly, and has given me some added comfort while sleeping.
