It is smooth to operate and results are repeatable. The screen is large and easy to read. The function buttons have some "feel" to them which make them easy to use. I like that it shuts down automatically in a few minutes when not in use. Someone mentioned that it seemed heavier than other calipers he had used. I think it has a solid feel and have no problem with the extra weight, if there is any.The case is plastic and the latches may not last forever but I find it easier to just leave it on a convenient shelf ready to use. I have not changed the battery yet so am unable to comment on that operation. All in all, I'm pleased with this caliper and would buy it again.
