Product Description AVA Self Priming Hose with Check Valve With Quick Connector - Ready to Go The AVA self priming hose is 3 metres long and gives you the opportunity to work independently of a fixed water connection. This is possible because all AVA pressure washers are designed with self-priming pumps. With the self priming hose, you can draw water from various sources, such as a swimming pool, pond, bucket, well etc. and then work with your high-pressure washer as usual. Wash with Next to No Loss of Pressure Effect All AVA pressure washers are self priming and have a next to nothing loss of pressure effect when used this way. This is great to hear when you are in a place without running water. Check Valve and Water Filter System The hose has a water filter that separates the water to be removed from larger suspended particles and dirt that could damage your AVA pressure washer. The water filter on the suction hose also has a non-return check valve, which prevents the water from flowing back out of the self priming hose. Compatibility The self priming hose has a hose connector (Gardena system or identical) which can be connected to your AVA high-pressure washer. The AVA suction hose fits all AVA pressure washers.

Having followed instructions on product videos, I could not get this to work with the pressure washer. A replacement also didn't work. A replacement pressure washer similarly failed to work with the 'self priming' hose. Eventually it did work after I manually primed the hose by filling it with water. There is no instruction with the hose or pressure washer advising that this has to be done and the online video showing the application does not show the requirement to prime the hose. This should not be described as self priming. My dealings with AVA were excellent and I am pleased with the pressure washer and hose.

Pulling water from containers is not what I thought it makes an horrendous noise while in action, Thought the pressure washer going to overheat and stop working.

This along with its associated AVA pressure washer is a quality product. However, it is described as Self Priming. Having followed instructions on product videos, I could not get this to work with the pressure washer. A replacement also didn't work. A replacement pressure washer similarly failed to work with the 'self priming' hose. Eventually it did work after I manually primed the hose by filling it with water. There is no instruction with the hose or pressure washer advising that this has to be done and the online video showing the application does not show the requirement to prime the hose. This should not be described as self priming. My dealings with AVA were excellent and I am pleased with the pressure washer and hose.

One star for the lack of clear instructions. You need to soak the hose and both ends under water for about 30–60 seconds to get the air out (you’ll see bubbles coming out from one end). Then, take it out of the water and quickly connect it to the pressure washer. Read the Bosch manual if you don’t understand what I’m saying.
