It's all about how clean the case is, how clean the adhesive strip is and how much contact surface between the case and the Kickflip. Originally I had the Kickflip on a section of the case with a slight curve and it would come off at times. I moved it back a bit where the case is flatter and haven't had a problem since. **Q: does this work on 2016 macbook 12" rose gold** A: Yes. It has a non-perminate sticky back that will adhere to any relatively flat surface. **Q: Is anything going to be done or changed in regard to the apparent issue with adhesive?** A: I contacted BlueLounge and they sent me a replacement. Same problem. I'm considering gluing this onto my laptop, as I love it when it's working, but the adhesive is just stupid. It has been such a cool thing to have for my macbook. Definitely recommend this kickflip. It really is easy to clean, you just rinse it with water, and it goes back to being sticky. Totally worth it.UPDATE:Been using this for over 2 years!! The adhesive is not as strong as it once was, but it still sticks to my macbook. I sometimes have to adjust it after being in my backpack, but seriously after 2 years of daily use I'm thoroughly impressed!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have accessory *by A***R on November 8, 2020* Such a simple little things but honestly couldn’t imagine using my Mac without it now. It does add a slight thickness to it, I have mine on my case, but with case and kickstand it is still able to fit into its carrying case just as I’m able to still slide into my jeans after COVID quarantine; a little snug but still functional.The ONLY downfall is that there is no grip on the bottom of the kickstand when you just want it flat. Depending on the surface you’re own you may feel it slide back with the weight of your hands resting on your Mac but it’s a simple fix. I’ve added two silicone feet to the bottom for grip when I don’t want to kickstand in full use.Also I know some mention how the adhesive grip is weak and it falls off. I’ve had this for 6 months now and it’s only fallen off once because I was testing to see how much I would need to pull on it before it gave out. Follow the instructions, rinse with water, let dry, reapply, and it sticks like new. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Portable and very useful. *by Z***Z on April 9, 2017* Only problem I had, the sticky plastic surface got unglued from the kickflip but I just used an epoxy to glue it back and its been working great..Love it, portable and reasonable price for what you get.. is just the right angle for typing.
