Great mop. Excellent cleaning. Everything we wanted in a robot vac.
This model was recommended by a friend. After my own research for a robot vac with mop for our first floor, which is all laminated wood planking came up with the same model, we hit buy and glad we did. The mop function is just amazing and almost miraculous. We mop 3 nights a week and are surprised how dirty the used water is! Imagine NOT having this level of cleaning. An appreciated and unexpected feature is that it will heat dry the mop after use to prevent mildew. One minor difficulty was getting it to charge if the battery runs low. This happened only when I moved it to another floor without it's charging station to double vac. Instead of manually placing it in the station which didn't initiate charging, I set it nearby and using the app instructed it to return to the station. It had enough battery to move itself 2 feet into position. As others have mentioned, it does require some weekly attention, but not nearly as much as having to do all this mopping and vacuuming myself. I haven't used the AI "smart" cleaning mode yet, and maybe that's where some of the other reviews have reported some dissatisfaction <shrug>. We are very happy with this purchase. If your situation warrants this robot's strengths (excellent mopping of large smooth flooring), I recommend a purchase.

Zero Regrets!!!!!
Absolutely zero regrets! Probably the best investment I made in my adult life. I have over 2000 square feet of tile in my home and this saves me so much time! I can set a schedule for when and what time and what room(s), I can clean on the spot any spills or messes, set a specific zone, and all the different features as far as suction power on the vacuum and water levels when mopping. The app lets you keep track of all the accessories and what condition they’re in and how many hours it’s ran for and how many hours are left until you need to replace the accessory. It notifies you when dirty water needs to be emptied, clean water needs to be refilled, and much more! My floors are probably cleaner than they ever would be if I hadn’t made this purchase because the lack of time I had to properly clean them as much as I wish I could. I can have them cleaned now when I’m not even home! I’m a mom of 2 kids and 2 dogs who shed a lot. Zero problems here and one happy customer!

Major Failure After One Week. Ecovacs eventually made it right.
Update: June 2026. Ecovacs took notice of my review and contacted me to make things right. Their customer service, while delayed, did come through in the end, so I’ll give them 4 stars now. Multiple failures with both the machine and Ecovacs customer service have resulted in this 1 star review. After only one week of normal use, the vacuum already needs a new side brush and a new main brush roller. Failure one: the obstacle avoidance failed miserably and the robot ran directly over a 12 inch dog toy. I watched this machine avoid objects much smaller than that, so how it failed to detect something that large is hard to understand. Failure two: once it tangled in the toy, the vacuum made no attempt to stop or shut itself down. Instead, it continued running until it literally ripped the side brush off the robot. That brush then became lodged in the main brush roller and cut large slits into it, destroying both parts. Failure three: Ecovacs customer service refused to help. I provided photos, proof of purchase, and detailed explanations of what happened. Despite a clear product failure after only a week of use, they would not replace the damaged parts or stand behind their product. This is unacceptable for a $1,000 robot vacuum. A product at this price point should not destroy its own components after one week of regular use, and a company selling a premium product should stand behind it when something clearly goes wrong. Buyers considering a premium robot vacuum should pay very close attention to how a company responds when something fails this quickly. Extremely disappointed. I will be returning this vacuum and switching to another brand. Update: I considered changing this from 1 to 2 stars, but still can’t justify it. I bought generic replacement brushes and kept using the vacuum. To its credit, it did a great job on my hardwood floors. The mopping function worked well and left the floors feeling cleaner than ever. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) on the last day of my 30-day return window, it failed again. It didn’t recognize an obstacle, ran over a plastic bracelet, and started making a loud clicking noise. It destroyed the main brush roller for the second time. I figured I would just be more careful about clearing the floors in the future. But after removing the obstruction and replacing the roller, the vacuum started giving a “bumper stuck” error and would not continue cleaning. I tried tapping the bumper, checking for debris, and even doing a factory reset. Nothing worked. The robot is now completely unusable. Thankfully, this happened while I could still return it, so that's what I'll be doing.

T80 and X11 reviewed, AINT READY FOR SHOWTIME
This is actually a eview of two "similar" items, the Deebots T80 and the Deebots X11. Amazon will not let me write two seperate reviews on the Similar Items basis, even though they are two completely different cleaning systems. The T80 uses a spinning disk mop, the X11 uses a next generation (per Ecovacs) roller type mop. First review is the Evacs Deebot T80 - upon unboxing and set up, I found it not as described, being over three inches taller than stated in the description. The height of the charging base is 3.5" taller than the 15.94" shown under Product Measurementrs section. These are big units, I intended to place it under an existing shelf - - size matters and it didn't fit. I reboxed and returned it unused. I would not have ordered it if the description was right. Second review - the X11 Omni-Cyclone. After unboxing, verifying size andcontinuing with set up, I downloaded the app and actually read the Terms Of Service. To my surprise: TERMS OF SERVICE Section 2.5 - Ecovacs may/will charge a fee to recover a lost/forgotten password; Section 2.7 - Ecovacs may/will charge a fee to freeze/unfreeze service in the event of a breech; Section 3.1 - the user CAN opt out of personal data collection but; Section 3.2 - Ecovacs is entitled to use "not categorized as personal data" collected as "intellectual property"; Section 4.1 - Ecovacs MAY START CHARGING A FEE FOR SERVICES THAT ARE NOW FREE, and if you refuse to pay the fee, you may not be able to use certain "complementary services" In short, though you will own the device, you will not, eventually, own the ability to use it - "own nothing and be happy" - sound familiar? I fought the urge to rebox and return at that moment, but it was a major check in the "Pure Garbage" column. On to the performance review: GETS LOST REPEATEDLY - first part of the use process is the vacuum scouts and records a map of your living space, keeping track of furniture, flooring surfaces, doors etc., and divides those spaces into rooms etc. Good wifi is needed throughout, which accorning to the signal monitor on the app, I had. During the next two weeks while supposedly building nuance and getting smarter, on many occasions, the vacuum thought is was in different locations on the map far from where it actually was, meaning - if the vac was trying to get back to the base to empty or recharge, it could not - imagine holding a map tilted at 90 degrees and thinking you are actually at the top of themap, but you're not. And there's no way to recalibrate - you can only carry the vac back to the base and start over. More than once, the vac even got lost inches from and in front of the dock. Ridiculous. CAN'T SEE IN THE DARK - The vacuum uses AI, Infared and Recorded Video mapping to get around. You can actually look around your living space using the onboard camera, which is both neat and very creepy if hacked, which is very possible. Though I didn't verify, I almost guarantee that the cameras feed into the whole Flock/Ring camera surveillance network withor without your permission. But I digress - the vacuum repeatedly got lost at the dark end of a hall, and refused to function without adequate light when I tried to have the thing vacuum after lights out. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I tried three times to contact customer service via the Chat feature in the app, but each time, had to enter lots of information (name, location, email, phone, model, serial number etc) but was hit with Discount Spin/Join popups and could not progress to customer service, even after updating the app and re-entering my information. ACTUAL PERFORMANCE During the two weeks the vacuum was in my possession, I made a minimum of six four plus hour attempts to get the thing to work as promised without me having to physically return the device to the docking station and start cleaning over. ONE TIME it actually came close to working. Most times, it drove around in random patterns, stopping and going weird circles or lines across rooms. The time it did clean my tile floors, it did a very good job, and the two or three times the vacuum of carpeted areas worked, it only worked well with boosted (high power), double pass cleaning turned on. It's a good looking, seemingly well made product. I did't have it long enough to comment on durability, but the robo-vac is quite heavy (seems substantial) andthe base seems well made. Nothing about it felt cheap. Long story short, I liked how it cleans but think it's too advanced for it's own good - this thing aint ready for showtime.

Excellent robot cleaner for dog hair management
I have never owned a vacuum robot before. Man, what I was missing! With 2 large golden retrievers, I have enjoyed having my carpets (and tiles/hardwood floors) mopped and vacuumed. For starters, the mapping technology is excellent. I did have to make some virtual barriers (in the app) to ensure it didn't go near my stairs, but after the initial mapping, it continually gets better. The app is very robust and allows me to see real time progress, the excellent reminders about the required maintenance steps and needs, and the programmable aspects to set. I have this unit set to clean after midnight away from our bedrooms and what a difference it has made. Reminders about emptying dust bin and the proof of what I see it has captured on a daily basis. I typically use the app for manually cleaning rooms with the mopping feature as I don't use the X11 to mop daily. The mopping is thorough and does a good job. I did purchase the Extra Strength cleaning solution along with the regular cleaning solution. The app allows you to use "Agent Mode" which is the intuitive cleaning mode where the X11 will decide what solution is needed. I do wish you could set the "heavy duty" cleaning in manual mode (like the kitchen) when I deem necessary. But I will often just let it clean in the Agent mode and let it do its thing. The robots ability to mop tile while stopping and just vacuuming bathmats is excellent. Does't miss a step transitioning to the mat and surprisingly doesn't get stuck on the bathmat like our traditional vacuum cleaner. All in all, this unit is perfect. It does require a fair amount of cleaning and maintenance. Filling/emptying water bins, dust bin clean out, robot maintenance, etc. BUT.....a small price to pay for the hours of time savings this gives you and the end result of having a clean home despite kids and dogs everywhere. I will be looking to purchase a 2nd unit for the upstairs. Oh - one cool feature, you can map a 2nd floor or area without the need to have the whole base station removed. I have 2 kid bedrooms that have a few steps down and the X11 doesn't go there. However, I mapped these rooms as a 2nd area and then I just place the unit in this area and it goes to work. It comes back to the area that I started and I then just move the X11 back to the base station. Pretty cool. When they figure out how robots can navigate stairs, that will be impressive. A lot of detail and focus on these latest generation vacuums. They seem to continue to get better and better. I hope these units last a while to justify the price, but as for quality and performance, I am very satisfied with the X11 Omnicyclone and this ECOVAC's product.

It truly makes a difference
TLDR; it's an excellent product that requires some routine maintenance. Flooring compatibility; I use this on hardwoods. I don't know how it fares with carpets. For my floors, it does an excellent job and leaves the surfaces feeling, as one person put it, "museum-floor clean." We are a shoes-off house and, with pets, this has made all the difference. There are some complaints I have read about the necessity for replacing vacuum bags in the station unit, but I view that as a plus since it means that odors and allergens stay in the bag when the contents are transferred. As for some of the other potential selling points; Battery life: a 1600 ft area consumes about 30% of the total battery per scheduled cleaning consisting of both vacuuming and mopping. It does an excellent job of picking up dust and dirt and the mopping leaves the floor feeling clean. The app; I found it to be user friendly and appreciate its many features. The unit does require some routine maintenance to keep it running efficiently. However, for the level of cleanliness that it supplies to the floors of your home, what equals to be a 15 minute investment per week is a small price to pay. If it's in your budget, this is a great way to go.

Best Robot Vacuum Yet
I've had it for a couple months now and it does a solid job. Great improvements from previous models. Uses up much less water than previous models I've used from Ecovac, even though the tank appears smaller. The separate dispensers now for the chemicals is also a nice added bonus. No tangles on the roller despite having a shedding Golden Retriever. Nice not to have to buy replacement bags anymore as well. The round mopping plates being replaced by the roller was a great decision as the plates would always fall off of the old model. And the removable cleaning tray makes maintenance much easier. Battery life is solid, cleans my whole house without needing to charge but we will see how that is as time passes. I've used on tile and hardwood with no issues. There is one area in my kitchen that it attempts to clean and gets stuck every time trying to go under a cabinet then not being able to back out again. Could use some buffer or sensor on the top to prevent that. The app for it is still overly complicated. having multiple areas for setting up cleaning settings in the app makes it difficult to know if you set it up properly (and I never have issues with understanding software). Still, it does have a robust amount of cleaning options and preferences to dial it to your preferred perfect settings. It just might take a little time to get it right. Highly recommend this vacuum and this company in particular. They do a great job of taking feedback and implementing it into new product features that are actually useful. Plus they have a nice trade in program when a new one comes out.

Some positives, some negatives.
I've had this vacuum for about five days and there are definite positives, and definite negatives. Set up was very easy, although it surprised me how loud the voice was at first. Thankfully, you can decrease the volume after set up is complete. It "talks" you through the entire set up process, and the app is quite good. Mapping our home went very well other than it seemed to ignore some partial walls between two rooms and called it a single room. Easily fixable, as the map is easy to edit. The first run through the house went smoothly. The second run, it kept stopping and turning in circles like it was lost. It got partway through the master bathroom door and had plenty of space to get through, but it gave a message that it was unable to get into the room and went back to the dock. I started it up again and things went fine. It's extremely quiet. I really like that you can choose the order in which it cleans the rooms. Maintenance appears to be simple, and I like that be dirt container doesn't need to be replaced like our previous vacuum. It's a permanent container that dumps out the bottom. This is an upgrade from a roborock vacuum (which I do not recommend because once the battery dies, you're out of luck unless you're willing to ship the entire vacuum back to them and pay exorbitant shipping costs, to put in a new battery. They will not just ship you a replacement battery). The app from that vacuum does not even compare to this one. It's very customizable and user-friendly. The base unit looks really nice. It's very easy to fill and dump the water containers, and to dump the dirt container. If the vacuum gets stuck somewhere and sits for a while, it does not forget where it was in the cleaning process, which is a big plus over our previous robot vacuum. If that one sat for five minutes anywhere, you had to completely start over again. This one seems to mop better than the previous one. I like that it's a roller instead of two round, spinning pads. If need be, I will update this review as time goes on and I get more of a feel for how it's going to do.

Lack of Basic Starter Sample
I am disappointed that the machine does not include even a small sample, such as a 100 ml starter portion. Considering the cost of the product, the absence of a basic introductory amount is quite unsatisfactory. If you’d like it more assertive,

Check the power lead
Our 2nd Deebot Ozmo. The first lasted 5 years in a busy household. Used most days to keep the flooring clean, so it was an easy decision to get a new model from the same brand. However, this version came as an import and it seems that means it didn't come with a UK compliant plug / power lead. Luckily we had the original from the older machine, otherwise it would have meant a return. Worth checking the retailer is going to supply correct power lead if choosing to order one.
