Hot Tools Pro Artist Black Gold One Step Replacement Attachment | Pro Drying & Styling (Large)

I purchased the Hot Tools blow out hair dryer after wearing out two revlon dryers. I was hoping since the item was purchased through my stylist, I may find better luck with the Hot tools version. I loved how the brush was detachable and allowed for deeper cleaning of the brush. Unfortunately after almost daily use, the brush began loosing bristles just as my others had. So I turned to Amazon to find my next blowout dryer, since even though they don’t seem durable, I still love the convenience/ease of use of these products. I was just resigned to the fact that I would be replacing my dryer about every 6 to 9 months with heavy use, so I was extremely excited when I came across this replacement brush. It arrived quickly and snapped on perfectly. At 30 to 35 dollars, This is a cheaper option than replacing it with either a new revlon or hit tools unit. I must say, the detachable brush is also great for travel as I can break down this dryer and it easily fits in my train case.

I have used the hot tools brush dryer for the past three years. It’s been one of the best I’ve owned. I have replaced the brush about five times since then. The dryer gets pretty hot which unfortunately seems to bend the bristles flat after prolonged use. So every 4-5 months I replace the brush head. At the same time I like the dryer because it gets hot enough and I can style my shoulder length curly hair in 10 minutes! And it looks like I came from the salon. I wish the bristles would hold up longer. Also including a heat glove would be a great addition. All in all I am pleased with this dryer and happy I can replace the brush head without having to purchase a new unit.

Don’t buy this. I ordered this for my wife for Christmas. She used it less than five times since Christmas 2025. It already came apart. The inside where it connects got hot, melted, and then cracked. A couple of tiny screws came out along with the center plastic. I’m very surprised because the original brush end lasted for years - we only replaced the original because over time the bristles of the brush melted and it just became difficult to use. The original blow dry brush worked great, works very quickly and does a good job, especially on curly hair. So I bought this replacement head thinking I’d get similar life out of it. Maybe it’s because it’s a replacement, or maybe the overall quality has gone down hill. I wish I could get it replaced since it’s only been a few months but getting through to their customer service with its limited hours of operation is a nightmare. So buyer beware.

I bought this replacement because I loved my old unit. I am happy to say it is identical to the original.

Brush works well on existing hair dryer. It does cake up with product, but easy clean up in warm soapy water. Bristles will break after a few months use.

This is a nice brush. I have the 2 sizes and they each serve a different purpose. I use this larger one when I want more full body. I have longer hair, down past my shoulders. It doesn’t tangle my hair and my hair doesn’t get caught in it. The bristles are nice. They have the real thin ones shorter at the base of each slightly thicker one where each of those have a little ball at the tip. This makes it so it’s gentle on the scalp. It’s easy to switch out the brush size. Overall I use this blow dryer brush on a regular basis.

I have used a hot tools blow dryer brush for years. After much use it was losing bristles. Instead of replacing the brush head, a few weeks ago I purchased a different well known brand dryer brush. I didn’t expect it to make a difference. It did. My hair looked awful after each use. Replaced the hot tools brush head with the new one and smooth soft hair again!

Hot Tools Pro Artist Black Gold One Step Replacement Review I’m a professional hair stylist and I used this brush for only two weeks, but unfortunately it burned out. The bristles also burned and deteriorated extremely quickly, which is unacceptable for a professional styling tool. I purchased it for continuous use in the salon, but it did not meet professional standards in terms of durability or performance. I need to exchange it for a better-quality tool suitable for professional use. I’ve had my Olivia Garden brush for more than seven years and it still works like new, so that’s the level of quality and longevity I expect from a professional brand. At this point, I cannot recommend this product to other stylists. It needs significant improvement to be considered reliable for professional use. I absolutely love the original Hot Tools Professional Black Gold Detachable Brush that comes in the black and gold box. The hair finish it provides is impeccable, and that’s why I trusted the brand. However, the new version, the Hot Tools Pro Artist Black Gold Detachable Brush, is not the same quality. It only lasts about one week before it stops working, and the bristles burn very quickly. I cannot use a tool like this in a professional salon setting. The durability and performance are nowhere near the original model.

Not impressed with this hot tools replacement head, the bristles were so much smaller and definitely more fragile than the original, the bristles are all falling out after only a couple of uses. Will definitely not be purchasing again!

Vraiment déçue. Après 3 usages, les poils sont tous déformés par la chaleur.
