Arsvita Audio Cassette Head Cleaner with 1 Cleaner Solution

Head cleaner tape looks ok. Liked the idea of putting liquid cleaner on cleaner sponge .I can only guess this setup cleaned the head. I really didn't have a problem but I came across a box of old tapes (40) and ran them through my tape player to see if they would still play. I bought a tape player/radio/cd player from an estate sale. To my surprise all 3 functions worked so I bought this head cleaner just for insurance in case I had a head problem. 38 tapes ran and played well after running the head cleaner.

It cleaned up an old machine !!!

After following the directions, applying the cleaner to the pad, I put the cassette into the tape player. It didn’t look like the spools were turning so I pressed rewind. It seemed ok. When I placed it back into the tape player, it ran for a few seconds then stopped. I opened the player up and the film in the tape had been pulled out. I wound the film back into the tape. It did it again. This time mangling the film. So I wound it by hand, but instead of winding back onto the little spool the film came out of the spool hole. I can use it! First time too! Sure, it wasn’t an expensive item, but I bought it for a reason. I need a cassette tape player cleaner. Such an inconvenience!

Make sure the aperture of the solution bottle is big enough to squeeze out the solution. The hole on mine was too small, and when I went to squeeze the drops into the cassette tape, it blew up in my face.

This cleaner worked very well on a 30 year old cassette player I found, stored in the basement. We cleaned out all the dust but the sound wasn’t as clear as hoped. I ordered this cleaner and it made a big difference in the sound. We gave the player to our preteen grandson and he is very happy with it!
