I made it through 9 chapters before I decided that this was as good as it was going to get and put it down. This book is supposed to be set in the last 1800's and the things this author has these characters doing is just totally unbelievable to me. I'm certainly no historian but I seriously doubt in that time period that if a man who was almost a complete stranger started messing with the breasts of a young woman with no sexual experience that her reaction would only be confusion This book reads more like some teenage male's fantasy of how women should be and does women absolutely no favors in it.. Good grief. One part of the book deals with horses and their training and that is equally unbelievable. I've owned horses and been around them most of my life and know there is a huge difference between domestic horses and mustangs.. For some reason to me it seemed kind of boring up to approximately page 265. Then it started getting more interesting. The story was a decedent one, however there was not that much interaction between Jade and Kane. I did not think this story was as great as other people thought it was. It's not horrible either. I just did not find it the quick read I usually do her other books. But like the other books by this author,the hero/heroine seem to quarrell the whole book,fighting their attraction until the last chapter. This got old after reading the fourth book.
