The Great Adventure: Bible Indexing Tabs (2017)

I tried other tabs when I first bought my great adventure bible because I had them laying around. But they didn't quite fit. I decided to finally by theses tabs and they are great and colorful. They help to tie the books together, they are easy to find the books of the bible and they stay on very well as well as easy to apply.

I love these tabs and I've ordered them a couple of times now. They are color-coded, which may not look as elegant as the silver or gold colored tabs, but it makes it easier to quickly identify the books you are looking for. Included are tabs for every book of the Old and New Testament as well as the Apocryphal books. In addition to those books it includes the following: Concordance Tables Charts Helps Teachings of Jesus Bible dict. Topical index Maps Bible, General General Index The tabs took quite a while to put on my new bible (like 2 hours!) but that actually helped me familiarize myself with the names of the books and their typical locations. Like some of the other reviewers stated, it's easy to accidentally "lock" a few pages in one tab. Since most bibles have very thin and delicate pages, you've got to be very careful when peeling off an incorrectly but freshly placed tab, or you will risk ripping the page. **Honestly though, after 50+ tabs you will probably have had several imperfectly positioned ones and you'll just to need to realize that the point of the tabs isn't to have a "perfect" looking bible, but to make it easier for you to read God's word!

Really, how can you have a Great American RSV-2CE Bible without tabs? They are good quality, easy to apply, and have extra tabs for time periods, maps, and miscellaneous sections.

Great accessory to add to my Bible.

These tabs work great. They are printed on a thin but durable and flexible plastic material with a nice adhesive backing, and they are color coded for quicker, easier reference than uniformly colored tabs. WHAT I LIKE... The adhesive backing is sticky enough to adhere well, but not so sticky as to create problems when applying. In fact, at one point I accidentally applied one incorrectly, but since I hadn't yet pressed firmly down on it, I was able to gently remove it without tearing the page and then reapply it successfully. I would compare the level of adhesion to a standard piece of tape, which I think is ideal. I know these will stay put. The print and color coding are bright and easy to read. I like the color coding because it makes it easy to learn and locate the tabs quickly. (If all the tabs were the same color, I would have to look at each one more carefully and read the label to identify the right book.) The tab size is very nice. The included positioning card shows how to apply the tabs (vertical spacing) on bibles of 7.5" tall or greater. I applied mine to the "Ignatius Catholic RSV Compact Zippered Bible," which is only 6.5" tall, but they worked fine. It fit four tabs vertically with no overlap, though you could squeeze in five vertically if you don't mind a little bit of overlap. I'm glad the tabs are very thin and flexible because my bible has a zippered perimeter. These tabs part gently out of the way and fit under the leather cover flap as the zipper makes its way around to close up the case, which is just what I was hoping they would do. It includes all the tabs you need for a full Catholic bible (or a Protestant Bible which includes the "Apocrypha"). It also includes tabs for other general sections, such as "Bible, General", "Topical Index", "Helps", "The Teachings of Jesus", "Maps", "Tables", "Charts", etc., though I didn't have need of these since I applied mine to a small compact bible lacking in those additional materials. WHAT I DON'T LOVE... I have no major complaints, however... The cuts that divide/separate the tabs from each other on the adhesive paper were sometimes a little shallow. So, when removing each tab from its adhesive backing, it would sometimes pull up the neighboring tab along with it. A little gentle tug always fixed the problem (the tabs did always separate as needed); however, a tiny corner occasionally would tear off the lower invisible adhesive portion of the neighboring tab on the sheet. Ultimately, this did not impair the usability or look of the tabs in any way. (The tabs never tore high enough to impair the visible protruding "tab" portion of each sticker.) They all applied fine and look good. But be careful. If the cuts were any shallower, I probably would've ended up with some torn tabs. The colors of the tabs are good and the text is readable, but the CONTRAST and COLOR SATURATION could be crisper/fuller. I'm fine with these, but the colored backgrounds behind the white printed text labels looks a bit like a "dot-matrix" style. It's very subtle, and I've seen commercial textbooks with the same color quality, but I just think they would look nicer if the colors were more fully and crisply printed. All in all, I recommend these. I did notice that there are cheaper tab sets, but I can't comment on their quality. These are a good set for a compact bible, in which thin, light, flexible tabs are desired. And I feel like $6 is reasonable for these given their durability and good adhesion. You could certainly make your own for less, but I don't think they would be quite as nice.

You want to have the time to place these tabs on your Bible. Read the instructions. The reviews contain some good tips, which helped me with my tabs. If you are using The Great Adventure Bible, you already have a built-in guide to place your tabs. I took my sheet of tabs, folded them on the creases, and removed them from the backing, placing them down. Once you fold the tab and the label touch, they are set. If you try to reset, you can get the clear part of the tab off the page, but the label itself will tear. Patience is a virtue and your patience may be tested, but for me, well worth it. :) Peace and all good!

I bought these to protect the edges of the pages of my Great Adventure Bible from becoming dirty and discoloured from use, and for easy reference to the colour coded system. The tabs were fairly easy to install once I understood the method, they're durable and the colours match well. I've had my copy since its first printing and opening to the books using the tabs has certainly helped to maintain the good condition of the bible. I know this may not bother other folks, but it has been a plus in my books. No complaints.

Buy! Buy! Buy from MurrayMediaUK! A MUST-HAVE for any Catholic Bible. Fantastic and perfect! Although some of the Deuterocanonical Books in my Bible (Good News Catholic Bible) are not included in these tabs, and some of the tabs don't really match my Bible pages (e.g. the maps are on several pages of my Bible but the pack comes with only one tab for maps). These are the only 2 things I would gently comment on, but they still don't take away from the brilliant and beautiful tabs which make this great Book of Life even more special! A MUST-HAVE for anyone who's thinking of doing or who has completed Jeff Cavins' (& Ascension Press) life-changing course, 'Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible', and anyone who's embarking on any aspect of the Great Adventure series. They are very easy to apply, and quite therapeutic too, I must say. The shipping timelines were generously overstated - I'm very happy to say MurrayMediaUK delivered long before the due date (10 days) and I'm thrilled! I'll definitely be ordering more for my parish family. Thank you and I hope you enjoy them as much as I am!

Sehr schönes Register, gut Qualität, mit Anleitung, man muss natürlich aufpassen, Bibeln habe ja immer dünne Seiten, braucht schon eine ruhige Hand und definitv keinen Kaffee dabei trinken, das Resultat ist jedoch einfach nur super, klar zu empfehlen!

Best bible tab you can buy and stick on your catholic bible (includes 7 books of Deutero-canon) The colour coding goes perfectly well with the Bible Timeline course taught by Jeff Cavins. The amazing part is that the prophet books are also coloured according to the mnemonic colour so that you can immediately tell which period did the book of prophet Haggai appeared -written.
