I'm glad I decided on this. I have washed the quilt 2-3 times and it has held up well. In fact, it's softer than most quilts. Not too thin or thick which is nice. The King pillow cases are very pretty with it too. I have thick white sheets with it which look great. (I wasn't sure they would bc there is a lot of taupe in the quilt, but there are pops of pure white and the striped back side are white and blues). In short, recommend.
