Review: highly recommend, great buy, esp if you're wanting to use it as a 'tool' to introduce idea of a new baby - Bought this book based on other reviews, I must say, I was not disappointed. My son is 18 months old, he recently started showing an interest in books so we decided to get him a couple. My wife is getting to be late in her pregnancy now (27 weeks) with a boy, so our 18 month old will be a big brother soon! After reading reviews of other parent's experiences with their children, using this book as a tool to help them gain an understanding of what's going on with mommy, etc..we bought it, and our experience with using it as a tool so far has had some decent results. My son really likes this book, I'll actually catch him laying on his stomach in his room "reading" the book (it's almost always upside down lol but still), its not too long, so I can quickly move thru the book and hold his attention. I've switched it up a little bit to fit our situation better like other parents suggested and it seems to intrigue him more, like I use his name and what his baby brother's name will be while reading the book. It's hard to say whether or not he truly understands whats going to happen, but this book is a good buy, and has been a good tool so far to introduce to my LO the idea of his little brother and daily life with a new baby. In terms of size, this book was a great size in my opinion, not too big, but it wasn't tiny either, it's what I would consider to be a 'normal' size. It's ab 3/4 the size of a sheet of computer paper, to put it in perspective for those curious about it. Also, its sturdy, its held up pretty good so far, my 18 month old gave it his best shot (boys will be boys), but thankfully wasn't able to destroy this book, I bought another, different book at the same time I bought this one, and needless to say, that one bit the bullet quick. You can't beat the price of this book either, it's a good deal/buy. I highly recommend it.
Review: A unique book to help transition your toddler into life with a new baby - When my husband and I first read this book to our toddler, we were unimpressed and wanted to put it away and not use it again. That was because it isn't a story, it doesn't rhyme, and it reads almost like random thoughts that a toddler might have. Well, I think because of that, my son absolutely loved it and asked for it again and again. We kept reading it to him and it turned out to be an excellent tool in easing the transition for him having a new sibling in the house. For one thing, this is the only book I've seen that illustrates a mom breastfeeding her baby (the others we have all show baby drinking from a bottle). I didn't think much of that at the time but it ended up helping my son understand what was happening when I would nurse the baby - he explained TO ME that it was milk for the baby and that was it! I've heard other moms say their toddlers were either upset, jealous or scared when they saw breastfeeding and I think this book may have helped prevent any negative feelings around that for my son. For that reason alone, if you're planning to nurse your baby, I think it's worth it to add this book to your collection. It's still a favorite here, months after baby has arrived.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A unique book to help transition your toddler into life with a new baby

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sweet, simple, and shows breastfeeding
*by A***S on March 26, 2021*

Tl;dr: Great for young kids who pay more attention to the pictures than to the story, and for moms who plan on breastfeeding I love this book as a conversation starter for new big siblings. We got it for our two-year-old daughter as a gift "from" her new baby sister, and she is at the age where she is more interested in pointing out things in the pictures and asking about them than in listening to a whole story. Lovely illustrations, and the captions are questions or reactions that our daughter will likely have as she adjusts to the new baby. Also, I LOVE that it shows Mom nursing the baby, and more than once. We already have books that show bottle-feeding, but I'll be breastfeeding far more often and I'm glad to have this as a resource to talk about it with my daughter.
