She has blonde hair and blue eyes, while my husband and I have brown hair and brown eyes. We get comments often, and I know it bothers her. This book is so perfect for getting the sweet message across that you don’t have to look like your mom in order for your mom to be your mother, and for her to love and care for you. At the end Choco found his forever mama and she has a bunch of kids that are all different types of animals. My daughter loves for me to read this to her, and she always smiles and hugs me at the end of it, every single time. This book shows the beauty of a mixed family.
