The torch beam is excellent on either power setting in my opinion, it illuminates a road or path for at least 50/100 metres and more, but the beam is focussed, so brightly illuminating an area around 5-10 metres wide immediately in front of you. Obviously the further away from you the beam stretches so the light tends to spread wider. It’s easily the most powerful torch I’ve ever had and i think it is excellent value.
