Durable and of good quality
I bought these three Place ones I've had for 10 years. The ones I previously had were the same brand but I foolishly didn't run warm water over them before I twisted them to get the ice cubes out. They developed a few small little cracks. I bought two sets of these and they really work well. It's nice to stack them in the freezer on top of each other because they have a lid. I'm well satisfied with this brand and the quality.

OXO PRODUCTS ARE GREAT...U CAN'T GO WRONG.
The Ice Trays are easy to fill. They stack very well in the freezer. The ice pops out easy. If it doesn't right away... let it set 30-60 seconds. And this shape cube freezes faster (At least I think so 😏) I bought 2 sets already & coming back for a 3rd set soon.

Pretty decent, but TOO WIDE! Doesn't easily fit in my freezer door
I bought these because I wanted ice cube trays with lids. I don't use ice too often, and when I do, a third or more of the ice has often evaporated since I last used it. This has lids, and the way they slide on and off seems durable -- I don't need to worry about a hinge wearing out or a plastic tab that snaps on cracking off. But I'm taking off a star because they're too wide! They're *really* wide, and just wide enough that they don't fit in my freezer door. I thought the whole point of a freezer door was to hold ice cube trays and pints of ice cream. But my freezer door shelves are 5.5" deep, and this is 5.6" wide. It doesn't fit! What the *heck*, OXO? I've got a super-standard Frigidaire fridge/freezer. OXO should be making sure this fits in standard freezer doors, and they're not. So now I have to take up valuable space from my main, tall freezer shelves instead. As for the crescent shape of the ice cubes, I'm not entirely sold. The problem is that when you push on one end, they don't usually release from the plastic immediately. (And you can't "crack" the whole tray while the lid is on.) So you often have to keep increasing pressure to release it, and then when you do the whole ice cube flies up in the air and then lands on the counter or floor! Finally, there's no clear line to fill the water to. If you fill each ice cube compartment entirely, the water expands and the ice sticks to the lid. So you have to be careful to under-fill it, but there's no indication of what the right amount is. (This isn't a problem in regular trays without a lid.) So overall I think this ice cube tray is headed in the right direction, and I like the lid a lot. But here's how OXO should improve it: - Make it narrower so it fits in standard freezer doors! - Which means making the ice cubes make compact -- more cube-like than sliver-like. I think it's fine for the bottom to be rounded, but make it a full half-circle rather than a sliver. This way the tray is taller, rather than extra-wide - And provide a super-clear fill line for the cubes

1 year later
I've had this set for 1 year now. I love them, learning curve for me was getting them out. If you over fill them it will be hard to slide the lid gf and what I do to push them out I very gently, twist until I hear a little "pop". When you don't over fill where it creates a layer of water over it or even in the little over fill lines, it's super easy to remove them and I love it so much. Especially if you struggle with joint pain. Oh, under filling is okay to they still push out easily still. Mine aren't cracked or broken, they are still in good condition.

My ice is nice!
Ice cube tray is easy to fill and cubes detach readily from their compartment. Sliding top protects from freezer smells getting into cubes.

Happily replacing my covered Joie trays
These ice cube trays with lids, featuring easy to remove cubes, deliver on ALL the promises. I had been using Joie brand lidded ice cube trays and found it annoying that rarely did a full cube come out of the tray. Ive only used these Oxo trays for one round of ice making so far but 100% of cubes came out whole and oh so easy to remove. One aspect with the Oxo tray’s cubes is that you’d think you should be able to press on either end of the cube and have the opposite end “pop up”. In my limited use thus far, you must press on one side (usually the outer edge) for the cubes to slide up the other side. Please note that this is likely caused by user error (i.e. maybe i over-filled the tray or something). YMMV. The Oxo lids do not attach as tightly as the Joie trays’ lids, so you couldnt call these Oxo trays “spill proof” but so far the lids meet my expectations. I think Oxo offers a “spill proof” version, but the cost of those led me to a little self-chuckle, “Uffda! For one ice cube tray?”. I paid $10.xx for two trays and two lids in late Feb. or early March 2024. P.S. Although not an “expensive” purchase, per se, it’s not lost on me that I’m fortunate to 1) have the oppotunity to buy new ice cube trays simply because my “like-new” existing Joie trays annoyed me (I will wash and donate them); and 2) have the time to write an honest review about something as inconsequestial as ice cube trays. 🙃

Ok, but not easy release
I wouldn't buy again. Pros: each comes with a lid . But not very deep, and it's easy to even slightly overfill , causing ice to stick to the lid when you try to open it . When frozen, not easy to pop cubes out, even if slightly filled. Cubes are small.

Easy to use,
Simple way to make ice cubes, tray has a slip on lid that keeps water from spilling and allows for stacking the trays in the freezer.

Best purchase
I know everyone is thinking it’s just an ice cube tray but this is the best ice cube tray I have ever owned. My freezer is always filled so I need a cover for my ice cubes that will also withstand the weight of others things sitting on top. The cover slides off easy and if you have filled the tray properly, the cubes also slide out of their slots. Even if you don’t fill it right, it’s easy enough to bend the tray slightly and that dislodge them. Got it at a great price too. Oxo products are the best!
