The product is sold by weight, NOT volume. The larger container allows you to keep the mess in the jug instead of the kitchen counter. The second big misconception is that this product may contain lead or other heavy metals is totally and completely FALSE! The products that test positive for hvy metal are paint based protein and NOT whey protein which come from dairy milk. I mix with 6oz Bob Evens egg whites and 6oz water, peanut butter and bananas or what ever the mood. Egg whites make it more creamy and the 12oz delivered at least 110 grams of protein per serving. The cost of this product is better than the name brand pre mixed small max protein drinks.
