However a month later & the battery is still working with only that same one bar dropped.The item itself is amazing, i placed it in a roof hatch above an extension as i had water pipes there & wanted to observe temperatures during freezing weather. I now know i dont need to turn on heating in the middle of night as the temp doesn’t drop much even though its -5 outside. So dont have to worry about frozen pipes.The thermometer records temperature data for up to 100 days, which you can download to the app on your phone. I dont have bluetooth on 24/7, i only turn it on to download the temp data as needed. I believe keeping it on all the time will affect the battery life considerably. You need to bear this in mind, as it may be useless to monitor temp 24/7. This defeats the point of the option on the app to alert if you if drops to a selected point.
