## Description

Product description TSAC-HD Pre-Effects and Amp Modeling algorithm providing optimum sound response and playability The pre-effect block beautifully recreates the awesome signature sound of real analog overdrive / distortion pedals. The white-box algorithm offers real negative-feedback, increment-by-increment. NUX TSAC-HD replicates the same playability most guitarists prefer in a real tube amplifier. Impulse Response for Cabinet Simulation MG-300 offers 512 sample resolution of impulse response. You can load 3rd party IR files using NUX QuickTone edit software. ( MG-300 supports 48kHz wav format. ) The built-in 25 cabinet IRs combine 4 classic microphones with 3 positions to allow beginners a quick and easy way to jump into the multi effects experience. Post-Effects with Core Image Technology Modulation NUX built the popular Mini Core Series and the Verdugo Series (post effects) using Core Image Technology. Now MG-300 provides you with the same sound library - including all the classic Chorus, Flanger, Phase, Vibe, Rotary, Vibrato, and more. Delay If you have tried out the Cerberus or Atlantic, you know NUX's impressive Delay and Reverb sound. MG-300 offers even more new models and algorithms with Core Image technology. It also provides sub-division and tap tempo to make your tone more musical. Reverb Just like the iconic sound of NUX's Atlantic reverb algorithm, MG-300 adds Room for small environment reflection. Jam ( Drum & Looper ) 60s phrase loop recording time. MG-300 supports NUX Phrase Loop Synchronization with Rhythm - a breakthrough technology derived from the popular NUX Loop Core Stompbox and later the JTC Pro Drum & Loop. Every guitarist has his/her own funky way so a truly versatile drum & looper is indispensable. MG-300 has 8 rhythm styles, each style has 7 different beats. You can play the rhythm then record your phrase loop. MG-300 will automatically amend the phrase to fit the current rhythm BPM. Expression Pedal The Expression Pedal can be used to control the volume or the effects. WAH: Controls the WAH filter. EFX: Controls GAIN (DRIVE) parameter of OD/DIST. Or controls PITCH parameter of PITCH BENDER. AMP: Controls LEVEL parameter of AMP. MOD: Controls MIX level of Modulation effects. DLY: Controls MIX level of Delay effects. RVB: Controls MIX level of Reverb effects. Highlights

Review: Incredible value for money, superb amp tones, class leading sound - I've been playing guitar for 30+ years. I've got about 30 guitars, 100+ pedals and multiple amps including Boogie, Marshall, EVH and Fender. I'm quite a tone aficionado. I'm incredibly impressed by the quality of the amplifier models in this cheap little modeling processor. Using custom IRs, I was able to get better crunch, saturation and modern lead tones, with more authentic harmonic complexity, from this unit than I could coax from either the Line 6 Helix or Headrush pedalboard. The tone authenticity of the amp models, especially the Friedman BE and Fender Deluxe, are up there with the big players: Fractal FX and Neural DSP. That they have managed this in such a small and affordable unit is a phenomenal achievement. The unit is small and quite plastic feeling. The screen is not very high resolution. The foot pedal feels cheap and flimsy. There's not much option for inputs and outputs, and no effects loop. These are all evidence of Nux building to a price. But they invested where it matters: in the processing power and modeling software. This thing blows all the other low cost modelers away when it comes to amp authenticity. If you are considering a Mooer, Flamma, Harley Benton, Joyo or similar Chinese budget modeler, I would recommend this over all of them. I've tried them all, and sent them all back. This is a keeper. I've also got an MG-30 on pre-order. Really looking forward to getting a bigger unit with an effects loop.
Review: If you are looking for an inexpensive way to have many amps and exf pedals this is it. - I haven't worked with many other modelers except one for my Bass but I didn't want to drag an amplifier back and fourth any longer as I am getting older. I decided to go with the MG 300 based on price mostly but also the flexibility to tweak settings to my preferences. I am somewhat surprised at the quality of the sound and the ease of use. I especially like the management console on my Surface tablet and use it when playing live as it makes changing the setup really quick and easy. I don't care for heavy distortion or grunge so my chosen presets are more toward old rock and progressive country sounds and these are quite realistic. Let's face it changing the amp, efx pedals and cabinet between songs would be totally ridiculous without a whole crew of people to run around back stage and do it. With this little pedal I can just tap and go. I guess there may be higher quality units out there and much higher prices but I can't see them being all that much better. I have been able to get the sounds I want from old Fender twin reverb to blues leads and some slightly more edgy sounds with this one box run through the sound system and can change from one to another between songs with just a tap on the surface screen. The only thing I would add is the management console for iPad as that is what we use for the music and being able to do both on one device would be great. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get all that versatility this is it. I have been using it for several years and am on my second one (my fault not the machines) No complaints.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the housing metal or plastic?**
A: 100% plastic. The sounds are amazing, the build qualify average.

**Q: Can you use batteries to power the unit? Thanks**
A: it is without battery bank, only 9V DC adapter

**Q: The wah pedal is extremely hard to engage.even after calibrating. Anyone else had this issue? even when standing**
A: No issue for me unless the pedal is no carpet. You must press, perhaps a little harder on the toe, than a regular way pedal.

**Q: Calibration of the expression pedal seems to make no change. there is no effect until almost toe is almost 100% down. so partial fx not happening?**
A: you need to adjust the setting for expression pedal, you will get better sound.please search " how to calibrate the expression pedal of NUX MG-300" in youtube, you will get the answer. thanks

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Value

I just had a chance to finally try the NUX MG-300 out. It is a really cool budget modeler and a great value. Pros: 1. You can use it in front of a PA mixing board, powered speaker, with headphones, or your computer without a guitar amplifier. 2. There are a lot of really good preloaded tones. 3. You can easily do a lot of adjustments on the effects unit without having to open it up on a computer, but opening it on a computer gives you a lot of options and a better interface to work with. 3. You can use IRs with it. I haven’t tried this, but considering IR pedals are at least $100 this is an awesome feature for this unit to have at this price. 4. Built in drum loops. 5. Small footprint. Very portable. Cons: 1. This is not really a con given the price point, but it is not the sound or build quality of units like the Line 6 Helix, Neural DSP Quad Cortex, Kemper Profiler, or the Fractal Audio Axe FX. It doesn’t compare to the $1000 plus units. 2. Build quality is not great. A lot of cheap plastic. Someone in the comments somewhere said it was made out of metal. It has metal in its construction, but some critical parts that I could see getting a lot of use and abuse on-stage are plastic. Overall, for the money it’s hard to beat this thing. I think this is a great solution for someone that is getting into guitar and wants to play with different amps and pedals to learn how they sound and function without having to spend thousands of dollars. It also doesn’t take ton of space. If you bought all of the kinds of amps and pedals this thing models out of the box you would need at least a small garage just to store it all. One other thing to consider is I ran this unit in several different setups and the one I liked the best was just the NUX through a Samson RS112a 400-Watt 2-Way Active Speaker. It sounded good with that speaker and if you think about combined cost it is a bit less with more functionality than the popular modeling combo amps on the market.
