## Overview

Frenchic Al Fresco Blackjack is a 750ml water-based mineral paint delivering a deep matte black finish with self-priming, self-sealing, and self-levelling properties. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, it offers excellent coverage (6.25m² per 2 coats), is UV and weather resistant, virtually odourless, and certified safe for children’s toys. Fast drying and eco-friendly, it transforms furniture and surfaces with minimal effort and maximum style.

## Description

General:- Water based- Suitable for interior and exterior use- Chalk and mineral paint formulated for wooden furniture. Also suitable for laminate, powder coated radiators, UPVC, ceramic wall tiles (we recommend avoiding very wet areas like shower/bath surrounds). Can be used for internal walls – in this case, thinning with up to 10% tap water is advised to ease application.- Also suitable for interior wood, concrete and most laminate floors with correct application – please note that maintenance may be required in these situations.- Minimal VOC content with virtually no odour- UKCA and EN71-3 certified (safe for use on children’s toys) EN71-3:2013+A3:2019- Self-priming – no primer or undercoat required- Finish – flat, almost no sheen - Self-sealing - does not require a top coat for durability- Self-levelling - meaning little to no brush marks is achievable.Coverage:- A 750ml tin will provide a single coat of up to 12.5m2. For a durable finish, a minimum of 2 coats is required, so your 750ml tin should provide full coverage for just over 6m2 on non-porous surfaces like laminate or metal.- Porous, or ‘thirsty’ surfaces like bare wood or MDF, tend to absorb paint meaning additional coats are likely to be required to achieve a durable finish. In this case, your 750ml tin will provide less than 6m2 of full coverage. If you apply the paint too thinly, durability may be affected.

Review: Excellent paint, deep matt black colour - Excellent paint! I've painted all my solid wood doors downstairs. They were all white but I wanted to spice things up. I have a really light sanding and then used a little brush for the lines in the door and a foam roller. I did two or three coats. First coat definitely looks scary, but have faith! I then noticed a couple of bits of scratching a few weeks later and stupidly decided to put clear topcoat on which gave it a shine even though it was supposed to be soft sheen. I hated it so went back in with another coat of this and I can't express enough how much better it looks! Nice deep matt black. I love it. It does dry quick but needs a few weeks to properly cure. I think I would do this again and add topcoat then another layer of this for extra durability though. Only issue is dusty marks do show up, but it's waterproof so a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it's perfect again. I am thinking of doing the bannister next and may end up doing the doors upstairs too because it just looks stunning. I left the door frames white and I've used dulux egyptian cotton on my walls. I am in love!

**Q: Can it be sprayed on?**
A: Yes, water down by 10% then you're good to go

**Q: Could this be used on a pvc front door ? Thanks**
A: I painted my old UPVC front door and it looks like new, changed from dirty old white to this lovely Matt black. Two coats and his not needed anything doing for over a year, no marks or scuffs and it’s been through all weathers too.

**Q: Can I put a sealer on it to decrease the chalk feel?**
A: Yes. Just use the top coat.

**Q: Is this heat resistant and if so can you paint radiators with this? Also if painting a banister handrail what’s the likelihood of chipping etc?**
A: Many people have successfully painted radiators. Ideally they need to be off during the 3 weeks of curing time. If you prepare correctly, this paint is amazing. Again handle the bannister with care for the first few weeks.

Excellent paint! I've painted all my solid wood doors downstairs. They were all white but I wanted to spice things up. I have a really light sanding and then used a little brush for the lines in the door and a foam roller. I did two or three coats. First coat definitely looks scary, but have faith! I then noticed a couple of bits of scratching a few weeks later and stupidly decided to put clear topcoat on which gave it a shine even though it was supposed to be soft sheen. I hated it so went back in with another coat of this and I can't express enough how much better it looks! Nice deep matt black. I love it. It does dry quick but needs a few weeks to properly cure. I think I would do this again and add topcoat then another layer of this for extra durability though.
