I’m 5’6” without them, so here are my recommendations:1. Only use them on boots or high top shoes. I use them on my Vans classics high top shoes.2. If you’re going to exercise, or if you plan on dancing, or staying on your feet for the entire day, don’t use them. They can get uncomfortable. I use mine for like 5hrs, after that my feet start hurting. Unless you can take them off, rest for a bit and continue wearing them then I guess you’ll be fine.3. Once you get them, put them on and start walking on them. It’s going to be a trial and error with these things. You might have to use certain type of socks if you wear these. Your feet has to get used to them.4. Last but not least, if you’re overweight like me (I’m 40 lbs overweight), it will be hard on your ankles. Plus, these insoles, while not providing a necessarily desirable increase in height (not that one will get much at 5'4", at least), it does the job well without being the least bit conspicuous, which is the point, and isn't too clunky to hinder the way you walk (though it does take some practice at first). Perfect for those of us who want height, but don't wear heels.
