The display is large and clear The buttons are solid, round and recessed for finger tips except the start / stop which is larger and a different colour. Setting a time is easy with the different increment buttons (no silly plus / minus) and you can quickly reset. It sticks to a fridge, cooker front, extract fan (if metal) or will stand on a counter. The volume on high is loud enough for my bad hearing to hear from a different room or over the top of other kitchen noises. It feels really well made and it doesn't fall off if you close the fridge door a little too hard. All in all an absolute gem of a device, that allows you to quickly and easily set a countdown for boiled eggs to turning the roast potatoes this Christmas. It would be perfect for many, many other uses and despite having it only a few days, is in regular use. It easily takes five stars but I would make two suggestions: 1. Because of the thickness of the magnet, the bottom half the the device sits slightly off the surface. When you press the lower buttons, it rocks. I fixed this with a few layers of electrical tape just covering the battery compartment cover so the whole device sits flush with the fridge. It could probably do with a magnet on the lower half as well. 2. The second suggestion would be to offer it with a lit screen. It's large and clear in the light, but in the darker evenings, you have to have the kitchen light on to see it unlike the cooker timer. Looking at the timer from the back, lift up the stand. This will reveal the opening around the battery face plate. Using your thumb, push down on the raised line above the word "Liorque" & slide the battery face plate toward the bottom. Voila! There is the battery. **Q: There seem to be two models, one with 1s and another with 5s?** A: I havent seen two different models advertised, mine has increments of 1 hour , 5 min,1 min,and 1sec so you can adjust to a very exact timing. **Q: so after 18 months my screen has decided to only display upside down Js. Have replaced batteries and tried resetting but without success. Any ideas?** A: Got it replaced **Q: I see this counts up, but can you pause and continue ? Thanks** A: Yes.
