If you want to fill holes and then screw back into them, you'd be better off using products such as TotalBoat Thixo Flex or TotalBoat FlexEpox or simply Thixo. Those products would be stronger if you plan to drill a pilot hole and then fasten into them but they are not as sandable as TotalFair. **Q: Can you apply more to already cured coats without sanding in between?** A: Should be sanded if the coats are cured. **Q: Can this be applied over marine oil based paint if I 80 grit it? Basically to smooth out the surface of painted wood.** A: Thank you for reaching out. The difference in hardness may be an issue, I typically do not recommend it. **Q: can you fiberglass over total fair without painting it?** A: The rule is that you can apply epoxy to fiberglass but not fiberglass to epoxy, so whatever you're doing try to follow that rule.
