The 1.25 or 1.5 barrel? I want looser curls** A: I recommend the smaller size, which will allow you to curl larger sections at once with less time with heat on your hair. You can run your fingers through the curls to get looser curls. I have the 1" and the 1.25" and have medium/long hair that's medium fine and all one length. I use the 1.25" for body and 1" when I want more defined curls. The curls stay more defined throughout the day using the 1". **Q: I have long, almost to my waist hair, straight...what size should I get if I want "curls", not just a soft "s" shape? Is the 2 in too big? Should I go** A: A 2 inch curling iron will give your hair some light body in your hair. Similiar to blowing drying it with big round brush. But, if you are looking for curls, I would go with a 1" or 1.5" for bigger curls. If you want tighter curls, get a 1" wand. There are all kinds of videos on how to curl long hair with wands. You can get two different looks depending on how you wrap your hair around wand. Good luck! **Q: Is it dual voltage? Thanks.** A: It is 110V. American voltage. I bought a power converter. **Q: purple or gold??? so confused, seems like ceramic is better for hair but I see more ppl buying the gold one. help pls!!!** A: Ceramic has always been my preference. But when I wanted to buy one that had a smaller circumference, I spotted this one. The price was so much lower than ceramic I thought I'd give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. It heated much hotter than other metal barrels I have used in the past, and has a decent range of temperatures. I use the middle of the range and it doesn't burn my hair, but gives it a nice firm curl. I use a ceramic on for a 1'" curl on the top of my do, and if I didn't know that one was metal and one was ceramic, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in their results. Don't think you could go wrong with this one. I give it a two thumbs up. One other note about curling irons, while ceramic is very good, I think the critical element is the ability to be able to set the heat control over a wide range of temperatures to accommodate your specific hair composition. I had this iron originally years ago, but got sucked up into the world of YouTubers/haulers and consumerism and purchased curlers for $300+ .. a few years later , many many many dollars later and a few permanent ugly burn scars ... in back here with this iron. & for 60$ you cannot beat the quality an maneuverability of this iron!
