This may be particularly true of the darker colored sheet sets and pillowcases. If one uses body oils (e.g Neutrogena Body Oil), Vaselines, skin creams, hair gels, or eats potato chips in bed, you may not like how these sheets look after a few months. This bedding will have you believing that your spouse has ordered a bucket of KFC and ate it at a pajama party while you were at work; don't worry, your wife isn't having an affair with Col. Sanders...it's just the sheets.These sheets have not shrunk and still can be easily placed on the bed. (If you also sleep hot and you're in the market, I highly recommend Brooklyn Bedding's Aurora mattress!) I needed to buy new sheets since the new mattress was much deeper than our old one and our old sheets weren't a good fit. I found that these were recommended as cooling and when Prime Day rolled around, I ordered two sets.These are definitely cooler than our previous microfiber sheets. We've used them for a couple of months now and I love them. I can't comment on if they are stain resistant because we haven't spilled anything on them yet, but they wash and dry just fine.We had a hiccup - I ordered the standard sheets that were supposed to be deep enough for up to 16" because our mattress is 14" deep. It didn't register in my brain that our mattress cover added another inch, inch and half, and so the corners would sometimes pop off. I contacted Mellanni and they sent me the extra deep sheets with no questions asked! In fact, I am ordering another set today.The only reason that I didn't give them a full 5 stars was for two things (that probably aren't really even the fault of the sheets). I have intermittent restless leg syndrome which has resulted in pilling on the fitted sheet - but only after a long time of use and only in the areas where my legs are being restless. Everywhere else is as smooth and soft as the day they arrived.BUT, as I think on it, I'm going back to 5 stars because I think that's expecting too much.
