The few pair of knit "boy short" style underwear that don't have a cotton crotch did not hold the liner, but that is the only problem I've had with them. Since those are not my favorite panties and I don't wear them often, it doesn't matter to me. They do a great job of wicking moisture away from my skin which is what matters to me.
