However, while the ball wasn't heavy enough to stress the hanging cord, it bounced around and if I was on a ladder to get to the higher shelves, it go in the way. (I put an LED bulb in the fixture so heat from the bulb wasn't an issue.I decided I wanted something similar for the other closet and got a pair of these because the pair was only about $2 more than a single one, and I wound up using both and replacing the one with the ball on the end. That is important because what I noticed is that the wooden oval at the end of these weighs less than you might expect.
