The information inside was really everything I needed to help me study. Not only gave definitions but explanations of everything as well. The practice questions were extremely helpful. After taking my test, I found that some of the questions that were on my exam were very similar to what was on the exam. While they weren't the exact question, the similarity really helped when it came to taking it. When it came to studying, I did have other books and notes but I found myself reading this from cover to cover several times. With the questions I kept missing, even though I had the answers, I was able to go back through this book and find where I messed up on. Even with taking practices tests online, I again referenced this book majority of the time. Very informative. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Book contradicts itself and the practice tests are awful *by K***. on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2021* To start with the good things about this book, most of the information taught is beneficial, especially for beginners or those separated from the topics covered for many years. I suppose having this book would be better than not studying at all for the OAR.Unfortunately, this book has far more working against it than for it. As I have seen mentioned in other reviews, some information contained within the book is directly contradictory to itself. Some information given is also far too short and oversimplified to suffice on a test; even their own practice tests require more knowledge than they provide to know the correct answers.My primary grief with this book is the practice tests, and it was my motivation for purchasing this book. There are 15 tests with 20-30 questions each. Around 5-10 questions on each test are complete throwaways for various reasons. Some questions do not provide enough information to attempt an answer. For example, "A cannonball is dropped from 10 meters off the ground. What will the velocity of that cannonball be before it hits the ground in meters per second?" A quick Google search will provide the formula for velocity: change in distance/change in time, the book itself even provides this formula. However, this problem does not indicate the amount of time that passed, making this impossible to calculate. The answer provided is 14m/s, with no explanation as to how the answer was derived, it could just be my own shortcomings as to why I cannot solve this, but that would be the purpose of the book to help me understand.
