They should work on a hi fi system. I use mine to listen to CDs on my music centre.

These are 90% noise cancelling headphones, which reduces ambient sounds.

Not with the headphones, but using your device. There are no ‘controls’ on the headphones, only a sturdy lead and a microphone.
