Can it be put in the dishwasher safely?** A: No, it cannot. Any two piece flatware servers (spoons, ladles, servers, etc.) will be damaged in a dishwasher, no matter what material they are made of. The long exposure to very hot water in a dishwasher will eventually get into the joint and damage the glue holding the parts together. It's especially damaging to porcelain because the stainless part of the tool will retain the heat and may cause cracking. **Q: How big are they?** A: Aha! The salad serving pieces! Gift to my Mom, but the website says they are 10 inches in length, and Mom loves them. Generally, she makes lots of salad for 2 people. My siblings visited, and I vaguely recall the salad bowl was giant, but not deep, and they were perfectly sized. In a deeper salad serving bowl, they might not work so nicely. Es wurde schnell und gut verpackt geliefert. Die Verpackung eignet sich hervorragend als Geschenkverpackung. Fester Karton, hübsch bedruckt. Innen wird das Salatbesteck mit Gummiband Halterungen befestigt, so dass nichts verrutschen kann. Das Salatbesteck (ca. 24 cm lang) ist sehr hochwertig und edel gemacht. Stabiles Material. Glatte Edelstahloberflächen ohne Metallgrate für die Lebensmittel, die handliche geformten Griffe sind aus Keramik (oder Porzellan) und mit Blumenmotiven hochwertig bedruckt (nicht mit solchen billigen Abziehbildern). Der Übergang zwischen Griff und Edelstahllöffel ist noch einmal mit einem Edelstahlknauf versehen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann dieses Besteck wärmstens empfehlen.
