There were few directions, so we weren't quite clear on whether to paint the entire surface of the car or leave parts blank. We went with entire surface. Once it was dry, I helped my son apply the stickers. They don't exactly line up like in the picture, but I've seen worse. I still haven't applied the wheel stickers...it isn't a flat surface, so I doubt they'll stay on - There are little nubs all around the unstickered wheel.The wheels did go on pretty easily and they move freely. The red paint is flat not shiny. The stickers are the only thing that gives it shine.
