I have played it will 3 people and with 6, it is fun no matter what! It's definitely a little more chaotic (in a good way) when played with 5 or 6, but the mechanics of the game really do a great job of keeping everyone engaged even if it's a small number of players. I've recommended this to everyone I know (and forced many friends to play it - much to their delight). I describe it to friends as "Clue on crack" or "Clue meets Downton Abbey The Game" - usually gets people's attention!My only criticism would be that the art is a little muddled, and can hurt the game's mechanics. There's a little too much emphasis on cool font, making the order cards hard to read. When I play with new people they have a hard time grasping the color coding of items/people/locations because it's a bit too subtle I think. They don't really make sense and I feel like whoever wrote the rules didn't think things through. For example, if you don't complete your order 1 round, you get -10 pts.
