Therm-a-Rest Questar 20F/-6C Down Sleeping Bag

Very light warm roomy and comfortable. Goes well with the thermarest mattress as you would expect. You get what you pay for. Quality.

The sleeping bag itself is good but the order delivered did not include the compression bag. That is quite important if you are planning on packing this for a hike. The compression bag was clearly included in the description so disappointing.

Just wanted to tip off anyone else over 6ft tall who's thinking about buying the large one of these. The large says, 6ft 1 - 6ft 6, no way on this earth could a 6ft 6 inch person sleep comfortably in this bag. The absolute max is 6ft 2 inches (thats my height). I think the sizes are about as accurate as the thermal rating ;-) Other than the misleading size guide, the bag is well made, comfortable and warm enough for 3 seasons. Update 09.11.20 Thought I'd try out the sleeping bag last night. At 5am I woke up absolutely freezing. This bag is advertised as -6 °C, it was forecast 9 °C last night so I was confused as to why I woke up cold. -6 ° C (as advertised) is the limit rating, nothing to do with the temperature you can expect to stay warm at in your sleeping bag. I cannot speak for sleeping bags made by other companies (I expect they're the same) but with Termarest you need to add 20 °C to whatever their advertised rating is. This way you'll have some idea of temperatures you can expect to get a good night's sleep. I guess its a little bit like car manufacturers and MPG. This bag is not suitable for temperatures below 14 °C. Below 14 °C you will survive in it, yes, but you won't be getting any sleep.

Der Daunenschlafsack hat mich auf meinen Outdoor-Abenteuern absolut überzeugt. Als jemand, der oft draußen unterwegs ist und sich auf seine Ausrüstung verlassen muss, bin ich von der Qualität und dem Komfort dieses Schlafsacks begeistert. Die Daunenfüllung sorgt für eine beeindruckende Wärmeleistung bei kühlen Temperaturen und wärmt dank der Isolierung gut. Die Kombination aus leichtem Gewicht und geringem Volumen macht ihn perfekt für längere Touren, bei denen Packmaß und Gewicht eine Rolle spielen. Ich kann ihn selbst ohne Kompression(ssack) problemlos im Rucksack verstauen, ohne Platzprobleme zu bekommen, was die Langlebigkeit des Schlafsacks unterstützt. Bei sehr kalten Temperaturen kombiniere ich ihn mit einem Inlet, was die Temperaturleistung ausdehnt. Bei regelmäßiger Anwendung eines Inlets kann man diesen auch nutzen, um das Daunenmaterial den Belastungen beim Waschen nicht aussetzen zu müssen. Man kann dann immer wieder unkompliziert das Inlet waschen und den Daunenschlafsack auslüften lassen und ggf. Flecken mit einem Lappen und Wasser zu reinigen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das durchdachte Design. Die Kapuze schmiegt sich gut an, und die SynergyLink-Verbindungen helfen dabei, den Schlafsack sicher auf der Isomatte zu halten – kein Verrutschen und dadurch bedingtes Frieren mehr in der Nacht! Das Material ist angenehm auf der Haut und atmungsaktiv, was einen erholsamen Schlaf ermöglicht, auch wenn die Bedingungen draußen rau sind. Insgesamt bietet derQuestar Daunenschlafsack eine perfekte Balance aus Komfort, Wärme und Mobilität, und ich habe hoffe, dass er mich noch über Jahre begleiten wird. Egal, ob du trampst, campst, wanderst oder einfach nur einen zuverlässigen Schlafsack für kalte Nächte bei gelegentlichen Abenteuern suchst – dieser hier ist eine ausgezeichnete Wahl.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been very impressed with the Therm-a-Rest Questar 20°F sleeping bag. It offers an excellent balance of warmth, comfort, and portability, making it a great choice for backpacking and camping. The insulation kept me warm on cold nights, and I never had any issues staying comfortable in temperatures close to its rating. It packs down surprisingly small, so it doesn’t take up much room in my pack, and the lightweight design makes it easy to carry on longer hikes. The overall quality is excellent, with durable materials and solid construction that feel like they’ll last for many seasons. If you’re looking for a sleeping bag that’s warm, compact, and light enough for backpacking without sacrificing comfort, the Questar 20°F is an outstanding choice. I highly recommend it.

The sleeping bag is for a 3 season adventure. Just finished with a cold winter, can't wait to try it outside in the wilderness. Just the cost factor is steep - I hope I get what I paid for.
