I would say no. I would use it, then you can use one of the Bick products to condition the leather.

Good for a black lamb leather jacket?

I would GENTLY clean a small spot first, but think it would work.

To clean a chamois cloth do I simply wet it and rub this bar on it and rub it against itself and then rinse?

I believe that would work, very well. i wouldn't use much or you will have a difficult time getting the lather out of the chamois.
