It is a permanent element used when polishing with a leather strop. Using honing compound creases the polishing effect and gives the blades a mirror-like smoothness and high gloss. This paste removes all scratches and burrs caused by sharpening. Regular use of the paste also prevents discoloration and rust. The product is intended for use on leather strops. The paste is so soft that it is easy to apply to the leather surface. Another advantage is the fact that it is non-greasy and leaves no traces on the polished surface.
